Cook, of 2641 W. 300 N., West Point, received his Eagle Scout award at a special ceremony held in his honor on Wednesday, June 16. Chads grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Simonsen, Brigham City, were also in attendance and received a miniature pin. Gorringe will represent Sunset as Miss Sunset in the upcoming Miss Utah Scholarship Pageant on June 9 at Mountain View High School in Orem. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Gorringe of 194 West 1075 North in Sunset. - THE MOMENT for Education is the theme for this the 35th annual Miss Utah Scholarship Pageant. The winner of the pageant will wear the crown of Miss Utah and will compete for the title of Miss America in Atlantic City, New Jersey in September. : : Over 60 girls in the state will ;be; competing for the title which carries with it a scholarship and benefits worth $7,000: Throughout the state of Utah over $60,000 in scholarships are awarded to young talented women. - THE PUBLIC is invited to attend the pageant.
