Show Thursday, October 30, 1997 Messenger-Enterpris- Page 5 e Benefit Trail Ride held A benefit trail ride was held recently at Summer Place Ranch on the West Mountain in Sevier County There were 64 people from all over the state who enjoyed a horse ride, wagon ride and a dutch oven dinner. The food was prepared by Les Draper. The food was all donated by Sevier County merchants Inlanftti AmboniairaGe deeds He3p? and the prizes donated by Sanpete and Sevier County businesses. Prizes were given for many categories: youngest rider, oldest rider, most pledges and most money collected and many more. Four thousand dollars were raised last year and the library has acquired linking we usecf wfien we some new computer equipment for the community to use. All of the carpeting for the newly remodeled basement was also purchased by the Friends. Other accomplishments included providing story time for preschoolers. McDonalds sponsored this activity. The Friends group is starting a new year and is beginning to recruit new members. Anyone who is interested in supporting the library is invited to join.
