Show 2D Not For Fainthearted Lakeside Review, Wednesday, Dec. 9, 1981 if.'-rr- Bi rtf but we stayed right with them. It proved that KAYSVILLE Coach Jerry Pimm of the University of Utah was in the Davis gym as Davis and Clearfield battled out one of their traditional battles. Pimm claimed he was there only because he has basketball in my blood, but to .watch Darts main threat, Brian Taylor, sink 41 points would have given the University coach a good reason to stay. The game was close throughout the contest, and no one seemed to get the advantage over the other. But Davis was finally able to hang on win. with their fingernails for a Coach Mike Gardner gave Taylor the lauds he deserves, but he is quick to add that it was the team's defense which gave them the game. They caused key turnovers, said Gardner. It was the defense which caused the Falcons to give the ball away in the last 30 seconds to cement the Darts one point advantage. We are a whole team, added Gardner, Taylor got only 2 points in the third quarter 66-6- CORY SCHOFIELD of Clearfield goes up with the shot in toons mam weve got other players. Gardner knows more teams will move against Taylor in an effort to close down his high scoring. If they dont double on Taylor, then something is wrong with them. I was surprised when Clearfield didnt isolate on Him after he made the 28 out of the first 33 points. Clearfield had a much more balanced attack as Craig Boren put in 24 of the Falcons points. He was followed by Kevin Bitton with 12 and Mike Rhoades with 10. The close loss was the Falcons first of the year. They now have a preseason record. On the other hand, the win was the first for Davis. They now hold a 2 record. Clearfield will take their winning record to Ogden Tuesday then Ben Lomond will play the Falcons in Clearfield on Friday. Davis will try to even their record when they play host to the Layton Lancers on Friday. 5 2-- 1 JERRY. PIMM found the game (and Taylor) exciting to watch. an effort to block the ball. INDOOR COMFORT HUMIDIFICATION, ELECTRONIC HEATING, CLEANING, AIR CONDITIONING HERE'S A RECIPE FOR DISCOMFORT by Don Rentmeister Many a housewife has been excited about finding a new way to prepare a tasty morsel of food contained in a recipe she has picked up through a friend or publication. We would like to pass along a recipe she'll never find anywhere... one that contains all the ingredients for an unhealthy situation. The ingredients are easily found during any heating season and can be blended quickly. "Take (Daily) one houseful of natural air. Be absolutely sure is not affected by any outside influences by performing the normal operations of being sure that all windows and doors that the air are. Pass (hourly) this natural air through the heating process of your boiler or furnace heating system. Circulate or radiate the heated air through the heating distribution system. Be absolutely sure that all moisture is removed from the air as it is heated and after it passes through the distribution system, convey the dry air to all parts of the house. "Serve continuously (daily) to everyone in the family, and keep repeating this procedure as often as required." For those who fear our sanity, we would like to explain that this "recipe" actually takes place quite automatically every day during the heating season. It's a "recipe" for creating unhealthy, too dry air; and by serving it to the family. Its side effects are often a health or cleanliness problem. As we have explained in previous articles, too dry air allows dirt and dust to settle, robs moisture from clothing, furniture and fixtures, and may lead to sore throats, stuffy noses, chills and dry hacking coughs. Of course, we would like to pass along a recipe for combatting the effects of too dry air in a home. Here it is in a highly ... consensed form. "Buy a PAYNE humidifier. Install on furnace plenum, and to every houseful of air, mix the proper moisture supplied by the humidifier. Distribute moisture to all parts of the house. Serve continuously during the heating season when dry air becomes a problem." For added enjoyment, distribute the PAYNE recipe to all your friends. .it For a free estimate call: 773-690- 0 RENTMEISTER HEATING-AI- R CONDITIONING ' W 1950 W. 2250 So.
