Merrill, FarFARMINGTON mington artist, is opening his home and gallery at 192 N. 100 E. to show his latest paintings as well as his private collection of noted artists Thursday, Friday and Saturday this week. The show on Thursday and Friday will be from 1 to 8 p.m. The Saturday hours will be 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Merrill said he is exhibiting his personal art and private collections to help expose individuals to good art and instill the desire to invest in at least one piece of good art, even if it is the only painting a person buys in a lifetime. A painting that instills an emotion in an individual, which helps him identify with something in his life is a good piece of art, said Merrill. What may be good art to me, may not be to someone else. Beginning his painting in high school, Merrill has studied with artists, O.D. Campbell, B.F. Larsen and LeConte Stewart. Stewart probably influenced me more than anyone, said Merrill. The payment amount has dropped repeatedly since the forest service first signed an agreement with the county. County Commissioner Ernest Eberhard said the new agreed amount did not pay for the services provided. , ; r The sheriff agreed but said the county would ,be responsible for the area even if the forest service paid nothing. 19-INC- Artist to Display Collection BOUNTIFUL The Bountiful City Council will hold a public hearing tonight at 7 :30 p.m. to consider rezoning 9.4 acres of the Call property which is north of Pages Lane on the Frontage Road to Interstate Highway The hearing will be held to consider rezoning to medium the property from residential ) Reed Boothe, city planning diindustry rector, said.
