Show Lakeside Review, Wednesday, Dee. 9, 1981 Water Problems in Clearfield Solved CLEARFIELD A solution to water problems on Ross Drive that have been a major concern for many months may finally have been found. The city had received numerous complaints of water backing up in basements. At first residents thought that the sewer lines that were installed during World War II were too small to take the load of modern appliances, and this was the cause of the problems. However, after the city had crews from an Ogden sewer inspection company do a camera inspection of the lines, it was found that the culprit was tree roots from Chinese Elm trees that are growing in several yards. Sherm Schofield, director of public works, told council that there are many tree roots in the joints, but the sewer lines are aded quate and are running at only capacity at the top end of the street. Schofield said the lines dont need to be enlarged, but rather the tree roots should be removed as often as necessary. This can be Mayor Donal Townley said he The schedule FARMINGTON for Davis County School District Board of Education meetings for 1982 is as follows: January 5 and 19, February 2 and 16, March 2 and 16. A manhole has been installed to monitor the lines and at this point the engineers report that the 6 inch sewer line is adequate. Schofield said the city has two alternatives: replace the existing lines or maintain them as they are. done by vapor fogging, which will last from 3 to 5 years, and is a temporary solution. For the fall and winter months, meetings are scheduled for September 7 and 21, October 5 and 19, November 2 and 16 and December 7. The board has in the past held its meetings on the first and third Tuesdays every month beginning at 7:00 p.m., a policy which will continue except in April, July and December when only one meeting will be held. ,o BOB HALE SUPER 6-F- SPA h 70 gation age I'M deluxe octagon tor boat coverage capecHy bed end teeteo at the lota are factory to aeeuro trouble tree operation Air bubbler ehennol In eeet provide thousand of in addition to lota cumulating bubbfee epialuao 110V ehid pack with 4 function air awttch for aatoty, high and low spaed selection H P air blower Wit P motor constructed sHandlly stores magazines while doubling as an and table or phone table of cast Iron 554030 PKQ. $9.99 o mo 349 ,05 REG.
