Tire Spartans lost to the Falcons 13-(- ). The game was Finerys first, but it was Canyon Mews second. The Falcons heat Juab last week. Finery's lack of experience showed. The Spartans were flawed for penalties, mostly on the offense before the snap. 1 7-- Turnovers are what really 11 hurt Finery, though. Emery drove the ball all night, 8 outgaining the Falcons in rushing. Emery caused two turnovers 201-10- and forced four quarterback sacks. The defensive line and linebackers held the Falcons to zero yards or less on nine running plays. Perhaps the best thing to come out of the loss was experience. The Spartans learned how to make adjustments that. stopped the Falcon attack and enabled the offense to move the ball against their defense. The Spartans next game is Friday at home against San Juan. They play at home again the following week against defending state champion Snow' Canyon, the only team to beat the Spartans last year. Tills event has been done in association with the Working Cowboy Rodeo. Many of the events arc much different than rodeo as it is commonly known. Some of the other Working Cowboy Rodeo events include branding cows, loading cows in a trailer, and wild horse races, to name a few.
