GATHERUM 773-497- 6 Mrs. Ethel Scoffield has re- turned home after spending three weeks in Phoenix, Ariz. where she visited with her grandson, Kurt Hansen, his wife, Vickie and their children, Chad, Heidi, and Garrett. While Mrs. Scoffield was in Arizona she toured many interesting places including Fountain Hills. Scottsdale and RawHide. Mr. and Mrs. Hansen have lived in Phoenix for about a year and a half. Mrs. Clyde (Billie) Muir has been visiting in Layton with her three children who live in our community, Mrs. Robert (RuthAnn) Rabenstein, Clyde Muir and Ralph Muir. Other children in the Muir family live in near-b- y Ogden. Mrs. Muir, who now lives in St. George enjoyed very much the time she spent with her family members and many Layton friends. She lived in Layton many three-month-o- ld Heber Creeper train. After enjoying a meal at the Saloon, they returned home by bus, taking the scenic loop route. U.S. Navy Ensign 6 Jed Beyer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Beyer, is coming home on leave from Bangor Sub- marine Base, Washington. Traveling with Ensign Beyer is his wife. Shannon and their Joshua. baby, five month-olThis will be the first time the d, grandparents have seen Joshua. Shannon Beyer is the daughter of Mrs. Jane Ticketts of Riverdale and Harold Hollis of Ogden. Ensign Beyer, a graduate of Layton High School, has been in the navy for seven years. Jack and Rozalyn Brantley Hawthorne are moving from Layton to Pensacola, Fla. Mr. Hawthorne works for the forestry service. He has been transferred from his assignment in Utah to a new position at Eglin Air Force Base near Pensacola. Mrs. Hawthorne is the daughter of Chaplain and m mm Mrs. Isaac (Rosemary) Brantley. Forty members of Laytons Senior Citizen group went on an excursion Thursday. They traveled to Heber City on the a.a. to 7 p.a.
