The board asked Dr. Richard Johns, Director of the County Health Department, to submit recommendations for Emergency Medical Services Council members at the Board of Health meeting in December. DR. JOHNS said that both Davis County hospitals will soon have a full time emergency staff. EMS needs to Be coordinated in both the north and south ends of the county, using the hospitals as a base. TOE COUNTYS bonded indebtedness has been reduced by $3,175,000, the amount of the bends purchased on Nov. 1 and Nov. 3 by Ken Newman, representative for Burroughs and Smith Bonding Agency, Mr. Newman was hired by the county commission to purchase the bonds. Two insurance companies in Boston-Libe- rty Mutual Fire Insurance Co. and Liberty Mutual Insurance Co.-s$2,525,000 in bonds to oId Mr. Newman on Monday. On Wednesday, the additional in bonds was $650,000 purchased from State Farm Automobile Insurance Co. in IF ALL the bonds cant be . purchased, the balance of the fund will be placed in escrow in either First Security or Zions Bank since these banks were original agents for the bonds, Mr. Walker said. The bond election to build the hospital was passed by . Davis County citizens in The county sold the first million in bonds in Oct. 1968. The proceeds from the bond sale were used to purchase the hosptial sites and pay the architects fees. June-1968- IN 1973 an additional $4,750,000 in bonds were issued. His plan was to buy the bonds back for somewhere between the market price and their par value.
