Cannon received 39 and Draschil 19. Axtell has 90 registered voters who cast 26 votes, 18 for Cannon and 8 for Draschil. Fayette has 112 registered who cast 23 votes, 1 1 for Cannon and 12 for Draschil. Indianola with 74 registered, cast 12 votes. Cannon 1 and Draschil 11. Milbum has 46 registered, 9 voted. Cannon received 8 and Draschil 1. Fairview has two districts with a total of 712 registered voters, 99 voted casting 41, Cannon; 54, Draschil. Mt. Pleasant has three districts with district 1 taking part in the race for a school board seat. In that district, voter tallies were Mower, 23; Jarman, 11; Deuel, 24; and Parnell, 12. Cannon received 116 and Draschil, 79. There are 1289 registered voters with 203 votes cast. Spring City also had a school board race in their precinct which showed Mower, 6; Jarman, 25, Deuel, 17; and Parnell, 69. With 616 voters registered, 125 voted. Cannon received 66; Draschil, 47. Chester has 73 registered voters and 15 votes cast. Cannon received 1, Draschil, 14. Wales with 148 registered cast 32 votes, 16 for Cannon and 26, Draschil. Fountain Green has 434 voters with 87 voted. Cannon received 60 and Draschil, 26. MANTI-- - Whether it was voter apathy or having the primary election for the first time in June, there was an extremely poor voter turnout for last Tuesdays election in Sanpete County. With a total of 9297 registered voters, a mere 1468 votes were cast with a total of 15.97 percent of the county voting. Chris Cannon received 83 1 votes and Tom Draschil 590. The largest voter turnout was in Axtell which led with 28.89 percent. The poorest voter response was Ephraim 3 with 8.42 percent. In the race for the school board seat which involved Mt. Pleasant 1 district and Spring City, Roland Mower received 29 votes, Jeffrey Jarman, 36, Ann Deuel, 41; and Kathryn Parnell, 81. Parnell and Deuel will run-o- ff in the general election on Nov. 5. In the three Ephraim districts, there were 1849 registered voters but only 192 votes were cast. Cannon receive 106 votes and Draschil 83. In Mantis three districts, there are 1517 registered voters with 284 cast. Cannon garnered 156 votes to Draschil s 121. Sterling has 191 registered voters who cast 35 votes. Cannon received 27 and Draschil 7. Mayfield has 254 registered voters who cast 54 votes. Cannon received 39 and Draschil 14. Gunnison has two districts with 769 registered voters who cast 120 votes. Cannon received 76 and Draschil 39. Moroni has two districts with a combined total of 658 voters with 94 voting. Cannon received 50 and Draschil, 41. Golf tourny benefits NS football team NEPHI-- - K.C. and Kyler Lunt, Nephi, were tournament grand prize winners of the KYKN, Kickin Country and First Security Bank golf tournament held June 28, 29 and 30. The tournament was played on three different golf courses and offered over $10,000 in prizes. All prizes were supplied by First Security Bank and local businesses. All entry fee money benefitted local fiind raising organizations. The tournament was played in three locations, seven holes at Skyline Golf Course, Fairview; 18 holes at Sunset View, Delta; and 18 holes at Nephi. Prizes included 43 individual hole prizes, a $100 best score of the day prize for each leg of the tournament, and a $300 grand prize. Entry fee money proceeds from Fairview went to the North Sanpete High School football team. In Delta, the proceeds benefitted the Delta Rotary Club and Nephi s went to the Juab High School golf team. Anderson,, son Ellen Lee, recently returned from Penn State University after attending football camp, coached by head coach Joe Patemo. He received 32 hours of instruction from some of the finest coaches in the country while attending the Nittany Lion camp. Anderson is a senior at North Sanpete High School and Student Body President. He said, "I loved it there. It felt like home. I made new friends and learned a lot from the coaches. " Anderson received instruction in both offensive and defensive playing.
