Porter Richard Watkins Nola Marie Byington Porter, 68, of 1311 Oxford, Kaysville, died Thursday, June 26, 1986 of injuries sustained in an auto accident four miles south of Nephi. She was born April 25, 1918 in Aberdeen, Ida., a daughter of Elmer William and Josie Hannah Ralphs Byington. She married Maurice Carroll. Porter Sept. 18, 1948 in Elko, Nev. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She was reared and educated in Gannett, Ida., and attended Utah State University. She had worked as a stenographer for the Utah General Depot and Hill Air Force Base, retiring in 1974 after 25 years of service. She was a member of the Kaysville 10th Ward where she had been active in scouting and was a visiting teacher supervisor. She had been active in the PTA. Surviving are her husband of Richard D. Watkins, 74, of 1500 N. Angel, Layton, died Friday, June 27, 1986 of a cardiac arrest. He was born Nov. 15, 1911 in Monessen, Pa. , a son of Sidney and Mellie Metz Watkins. He married Eleanore Darr Dec. 6, 1936 in Charleroi, Pa. She died June 27, 1986. He was reared in Pennsylvania and had resided in Utah the past 35 years. He attended high school in Pennsylvania, and attended California State Teachers College, where he received a degree in education. He was a draftsman, and retired from Hill Air Force Base. He was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Salt Lake City. He was a member of the Pennsylvania National Guard and the Utah Army Reserve, retiring as a chief warrant officer. He was also a veteran of the Korean War. Surviving are one son and one daughter, Richard A. Watkins, Murray, and Mrs. Everett (Syd- ney) Hoddy, Layton and five grandchildren. Services were held Tuesday at the Layton Lindquists Mortuary with the Rev. Darwin E. Welsh, executive of the Utah, Idaho Southern Baptist Convention, offi- - RICHARD D. WATKINS dating. Angel, Layton, died Friday, June 27, 1986 of injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Layton. She was born April 10, 1913 in Cumberland, Md., a daughter of Joseph and Ada Pritts Darr. She married Richard D. Watkins Dec. 6, 1936 in Charleroi, Pa. He died June 27, 1986. She was reared in Pennsylvania and had lived in Utah for the past 35 years. She graduated from high school in Pennsylvania. She had also received nurses training. McFerson Sidonia Bunot McFerson, 80, of S., Clearfield, died Friday, June 27, 1986 at a nursing home in Ogden of pneumonia. She wa born March 22, 1906 in Henefer, a daughter of Felix L. and Phoebe Jones Bunot. County Fair to hole music fest.
