Ball, 64, of 919 N. Church, Layton, died Sunday, June 17, 1984 in a Clearfield nursing home following an extended il- Steven Douglas Brown Succumbs A. Ball a deacon in the New Zion Baptist Church. He was a member of the NAACP. He had worked at Hill Air Force Base, He had been a U.S. mail carrier for 27 years. He retired in 1979. Brown. 1 Steven Douglas Brown, 2, of 523 Weaver Lane, Layton, died Saturday, June 16, 1984 at the Primary Childrens Medical Center in Salt Lake City of causes incident to drowning. HE WAS born March 8, 1982 in Ogden, a son of Dennis James and Barbara Glauser Brown. He had lived in Layton his entire life. HIS PARENTS are members of the Layton 18th LDS Ward where his father serves as bishop. Surviving are his parents of Layton, four brothers and two sisters, Bradley Ray Brown, Brian James Brown, Matthew Theodore Brown, Michael David Brown, DEDICATION of the grave was by Bradley R. Brown with interment in the Kaysville City Cemetery. Pallbearers were David Brown, Dwain Brown, James Glauser and Lynn Glauser. Honorary pallbearers were Matthew Brown, Michael Brown, Mike Thurgood, Gene Johnson, Ron Russell, Dwight Jensen and Paul Mattson. Crookston Robert Vernon Crookston, 59, 162 N. 200 E., Kaysville, died Saturday, June 23, 1984 at his home of an extended illness. MR. CROOKSTON was born Nov. , 1924 in Bingham Canyon, Utah, a son of Vernon and Wanda Alice Done Crookston. He married Mina Rentmeister on Oct. 16, 1947 in Kaysville. HE WAS retired from Hill Air Force Base where he had been an equipment specialist and master electrician. Following his retirement he operated Bobs Repair and Service. HE LIVED in Bingham Canyon for several years where he I attended school. He had resided in Kaysville the past 34 years. He was a member of the Kaysville 8th Ward. He was active in Little League baseball program for many years and in the Junior Chamber of Commerce. HE SERVED in the U.S. Navy during World War II and had served as commander of the American Legion Post 82 of Kaysville. Surviving are his widow of Kaysville, five sons and one daughter, Thomas R. Crookston, Lakeside, Calif.; John V. Crookston, Springville; Alan D. Crookston, Kaysville; David P. Crookston, Ogden; Kenneth D. Crookston, North Salt Lake and Roberta Kay Crookston, Kaysville, 10 grandchildren. ALSO SURVIVING are his mother and one sister, Mrs. Wanda Weir and Donna Pearl Nielson, both of Salt Lake City.
