Pearce, who joined the hospital staff four years ago, was nominated due to his great relations. Mrs. Logan began working at the hospital in the fall of 1981 following her nursing education at Weber State College. Her nomination noted her friendly and skilled patient care and her willingness to visit her patients on her days as well as her regular shifts. The two staff members are the second quarterly winners for the hospitals fiscal year. The hospital earlier honored Ruth Huffaker, a dietician, and Marla Peaslee, a critical care nurse. non-worki- Consumer Ed Specialist Will Speak at Chamber LAYTON White collar crime and fraudulent schemes will be the topic presented by Dr. Carol Lois Clark at the monthly luncheon of the Layton Chamber of Commerce on Thursday, June 2, at the Valley View Golf Course Restaurant. Dr. Clark is a consumer education specialist with the Utah State attorney generals office and is presently responsible for creating,, developing and implementing consumer education programs for Utah citizens. She also writes newspaper columns, press releases and brochures for her agency. A graduate of the University of Utah, Dr. Clark holds a Ph.D. in cultural foundations of education, a masters degree in secondary education. She graduated cum laude from the University with a bachelor of arts degree in English, and studied as a postdoctoral student at Columbia University Teachers College in New York City. Prior to her present work, she was a free lance editor for the Utah State Office of Education, rewriting and editing task force reports for a statewide planning commission and developing curricular materials. She is a former University and High School teacher and has published several articles and books.
