Show 4B Lakeside Review South, Wednesday, Mar, 2, 1983 i Over 400 Runners LET'S FACE Friedli, Hamasaki Win Race y BOUNTIFUL Doug Friedli of Clinton was the winner in the mens division Category B, boys Y. Franco, 1st; Brian Kuehl, 2nd; and Jon Hirschi, Harvey and Kristi Hamasaki was the winner in the womens division in the Fourth i third. Category C, boys 15 to 18, Jim Remy, 1st; Reese Kidman, 2nd; and Tom Morgan, 3rd. Category D, men 19 to 24, Mark Wayment, 1st; Steven Tueller, 2nd; and Steve Jenkins, Annual Bountiful Area Cham ber of Commerce Presidents Day Race. Over 400 runners participated in the event this year which was held Feb. 21. Friedli finished with a time of 15 22.55 in the 5,000 meter race. Ms. Hamasaki finished with a i ' Category E, men 25 to 29, Doug Friedli, 1st; Dan Price, 2nd; Dennis Anderson, 3rd. Category F, men 30 to 34, Curtis Talbot, 1st; John Wearden, 2nd; Victor G. Mason, 3rd. Category G, men 35 to 39, time of 18:58.35. Many prizes were given away in a drawing after the race. Prizes included an 8 mm movie camera, a radio alarm clock, candy, cherry pies, Log Cabin syrup and gift certificates. Local banks donated $1 and $5 bills which were also given away. The Presidents Day Race is one of three races sponsored by the Bountiful Area Chamber of Commerce each year. The other races are the Six City Run each September and the Gobbler Gallop in November. Carnival The 1983 KTVX Winter Sports Carnival will run through the weekend of April 7 at seven different Utah ski resorts.
