Others are there just to learn how to defend themselves. The training occurs in the small carport gymnasium which Andreason had walls constructred for and closed off in January. Its not a huge, fancy recreation center, but adequate for these kids. And why not? Troy was crowned a USU Amateur Boxing Federation champion in his weight division in November. And in Golden Gloves competition he finished runner up to Manuel Soto. Soto is a ninetime Golden Glove boxing champion in four different weight categories. Troy has been asked to be his sparring partner in preparation for Soto to go on to the nationals.
