committee on reform re orm school it was decided by a majority vote to limit the location of the pr proposed reform school to weber county so south uth of weber river kiver and aas we consider this action of the majority of the committee not to be tor for the best interests of the territory would ifould therefore I 1 recommend that the majority report re ort of the committee be rejected and that zat the following recommendation be accepted that the reform school board be authorized to make mahe the location of the reform school at any point in their judgment best adapted for said school ordinances on the ground thit that the subject was fully covered by existing laws one of the sections was out bu tAllen moved to reconsider the vote vole by which it was dane carried A long debate took place upon the whole subject in which thurman hoge moyle king allen alien and others took part and the section which nad dad been stricken out was restored by an oversight an article on education had been omitted from the dealt of the bill allen alien moved its adoption it allows incorporated cities to be i x empted emited from territorial school laws gives give city councils control of school
