In fact, when he caught it he didnt know what it was, so he photographed the fish and sent the picture to the Division of Wildlife Resources office at Price. There, Regional Fishery Manager, John Livesay, made positive identification as to the type of fish. Livesay explained that the Northern Pike is one of the most popular fish in the Northeastern United States. However, it was never planted in Lake Powell for one very important reason.
