Show 11 4B SunNews. Wednesday. December 22. 1993 Donna Jean R. Glen Erick Nicholls, age 45, passed away on December 9, 1993, in Houston, Texas. He was killed by a gunshot wound from an unknown assailant. Glen was bom October 28, 1948 in Manti, Utah to trick and Elga Nicholls. He married Betty Christensen, later solemnized in the Manti Temple; later divorced; married Peggy Hardy, later divorced, mar- -' ried Cindy Tolnan. He attended Manti High School . and was active in sports. Glen worked at various jobs, mainly and trucking. He served two terms in Vietnam. He loved the outdoors, camping and hunting with his Cindy and family. , Donna Jean Roper Jensen, 67, of Salina, died December 18, 1995 in Salt Lake City, Utah at the home of her daughter. She was bom March 19, 1926 in Gunnison, Utah to Joseph Benson and DonEtta Peterson Roper. When her parents moved to Salina to run the Peterson Mortuary, she lived with her sister and finished her senior year at the Gunnison Valley High School. She attended Snow College and after World War II was over became acquainted with Warren R. Jensen. They were married March 30, 1947 in Las Vegas, Nevada, while on their way to California for Warren to attend Mortuary Schooling. Their marriage was solemnized on September 22, 1948 in the Manti LDS Temple. When they returned from California they worked for her father and his partner, the late Joe Springer. A while after her father sold his interest in the Peterson Mortuary, Jean and Warren founded the WarrenR.JensenFuneral Home in the early 1960s. Warren died January 26, 1992 at his home in Salina. Jean is survived by her children and their spouses: Wilda and Dean Gold, of Sandy, Utah; Dirk and LaVene Jensen,' of South Jordan; Sam and LaRee Skaggs, of Murray; and Shaun and Lynette Jensen, of Salina. Eighteen Grandchildren; Lloyd, DiVeena, Nathaniel, Marcella, Kimberly, Charisse, Jessica, Christopher, Tiffany, Nicole, Bryan, Timothy and Chad. One sister, Beneth Embley, of St. George, Utah, and several cousins, nieces and nephews. S he has belonged to many groups and organizations in both the Salina . Donna R. Funeral services will be held Wednesday December 15, 1993 at Noon at the Manti Tabernacle, 100 South Main, Manti. Full military rites will be accorded. Interment will be at the Manti City Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Cindy, three children, Robert Glen Nicholls, Cedar City; Monica Jean , and Gunnison areas over the years. Some of them include: orchestras including the .Sevier Pop Orches- tra; Gunnison Valley Orchestra; Snow College Orchestra; and the Orchestras for the Messiah and Mormon Miracle Pageants. .She taught many classes in Primary, Relief Society and in the Scouting She was a seminary , Program. before graduate becoming a member of the LDS Church. Her greatest accomplishment was raising her family while being f able to help her husband in his business. She was very proud of : their abilities. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 22, 1993, at Noon in the SalinaLDS Third Ward Chapel. Friends may call at the Warren R. Jensen Funeral Home, Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and again on Wednesday, from 10:30 to 11:30. She was very active in the LDS Church, having served as Relief Society President, Relief Society Councilor, Homemaking Leader and Quilt Chairman atvarious times in her life. Survivors include: Ray, Clovis, CA; Max and Clair, both of Sterling; Dean, Crescent City, CA; Shila, Sacramento, CA; 22 grandchildren; 52 She was preceded in death by two daughters and one son, Jean, Betty and Burt. Heconstructed hundredsof beautiful homes for the residents of Salina and neighboring cities. He also taught the sills of his trade to his four sons who worked with him often. He loved working in his garden, doing repair work for othres, and helping friends in need. He loved the mountains, lakes and streams. Survivors include his wife; 4 sons, L. He was bom in Hawthorne, California, February 6, 1937, a son of Howard Eugene and Eva P. Gutke Cox. He married Marilyn M. Midsen, May 19, 1956 in Redondo Beach, CA. He was schooled in refrigeration and air conditioning. He drove trucks for Hales Sand and Gravel. Survivors include his wife, of Nielsen,- 300 North 75 West Centerfield - John J. Leland Nielsen, 94, died De- cember 15, 1993 in Richfield, Utah. He was bom November 1 4, 1 889 in Salina, Utah, a son of John D. and Caroline Marinda Mickelsen 0:00 am 1 -- Doris Elaine Dewey Anderson, age 85, of Aurora and Salina, died December 12, 1993 in the Richfield Care Center. She was bom October 24, 1908 near Comfrey, Minnesota, to Fred Daniel and Lula Mae Partridge Dewey. She married Levar Anderson, of Koosharem, Utah, on July 18, 1941, in Ely, Nevada. He died February 17, 1977. Doris was baptized a member of the LDS church in 1978 in the River Jordan in Israel. She received her endowments in 1990. She was an artist and a writer in earlier years, and had some of her works published and displayed. She J.
