The present compact does not allocate water below Stewart Dam, but states that water delivery will be based on priority of rights without regard to state boundary lines. The pro- -' posed compact amendment protects all of these rights applied to beneficial use prior to January 1, 1976. Idaho is granted the first right to develop and use 125,000 acre-fee- t of depletion including groundwater in the Lower Division. 3. Utah is granted the right to develop and use 275,000 acre-feof depletion in the Lower Division. 4. The Federal ifear River Migratory Bird Refuge is granted the right to develop and use 125,000 acre-fee- t. 5. The next 150,000 acre-feof depletion will be divided equally between Utah and Idaho. 6. All water in excell of the above allocations will be split between Utah and Idaho, with Idaho receiving 30 percent and . Utah 70 percent. 2. Grandma Kenna says the parents have chosen the name Jodi for their baby. by Marge Thompson Theres been excitement at the Merlin Tanner home lately. On Oct. 7 Blaine and Julie Tanner of Burley were presented with a new baby girl. This baby brought several first-tim- e titles. This is the couples first child, the first grandchild for Kenna and Merlin Tanner, and the first greatgrandchild for Dell and Ella Tanner. But perhaps the one most excited was eight year old Aunt Terrie. Other grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Jay Garrett of Burley, Mrs. Vin-ni- e Kunzler of Park Valley and Mrs. Mary Betteridge of Ogden. On Saturday Laraine Tanner came out from Ogden and Mrs. Vinnie Kunzler came with her. Dell and Ella, Kenna and Terrie From Ogden Nelson was here from Rick Ogden during the weekend with his grandparents, Bill and Mary Thomas. Jeff Thomas was also home from Tremonton with his family. Opal and Oren Kimber spent four days in Cedar City with their son and daughter-in-laLe Grande and Deon Kimber and family. Oren said they had a great time and worked hard, too. They helped their family move to the new home Le Grande has had built. Visiting friends and relatives in the community on Thursday were Ed Harris of Ogden. He called on the Achie Toyns, Winfred Kimber, Max Tanners and Hattie Tanner. Lyman and Eula Kimber and Naomi Kimber were in Salt Lake attending U.E.A. Special demonstrations were given by Mrs. Vivian Richins and Mrs. Aleta Call of Burley at the Relief Society work meeting Tuesday. Each lady was taught how to take blood pressure. Plans were made for mini classes and various activities for this years work meeting. A profitable lesson was presented by Carol Warburton and an elaborate dinner was served by Wilda Kimber, Judy Rae Barnedt and Sharon Kimber. A large crowd attended. Several Days Here Spending several days this week with Winfred and Olive Kimber were Delma and Verl Smith of Ogden. On Saturday Karma and Becky Smith also came out for the weekend. Also taking advantage of the UEA holiday were Carol and Dwight Warburton and family. They took Carol's mother, Mrs. Irene Smithen, back to her home in Layton and enjoyed a couple of days there. Mrs. Wilda Kimber and Mrs. Vera Tanner drove to Burley Thursday to visit Mrs. Mary Kimber. Mary has been suffering with big problems but of course they found her just fine. LeAnn and Bambi, Blair, Brian and Blake Thompson were home at different times during the weekend. A special guest was Keith Thomas of Clearfield, who spent Saturday with the Hughie Thompsons. Lynn Kimber came out from Ogden Saturday to get his par- ents, Ivan and Raida Kimber. On Sunday Ivan Kimber was admitted to the University of Utah hospital in Salt Lake for observation and treatment for arthritis. We certainly hope Ivan can find some help.
