A testimonial was held in Garland First ward chapel Sunday evening honoring Elder Chad Lee Munns, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gene Munns prior to his leaving to serve an LDS mission in Argentina. Coming for the testimonial were Mr. and Mrs. Lefeis (Donna) Benson of Grace, Idaho, Jack Munns of Ogden and Florence Richards of Kaysville. Florence Richards spent the weekend visiting her mother Mrs. Mildred Richards. Mr. and Mrs. W. Lee Thompson accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Brigham Godfrey of Clark-sto- n enjoyed fishing near Preston Wednesday. " ' Only a few days remain to nominate farmers as candidates in the upcoming ASC county committee elections, reminds Boyd K. Gardner. The ASC county committee election will be conducted by mail from Nov. 26 to Dec. 6. By turning in a total of five or more petitions,' farmers have the opportunity to prepare the slate of nominees themselves. Gardner hopes that farmers will submit enought valid petitions to fill the slate. ., Shortly after Nov. 1, all petitions will be reviewed. The plete the slate. Back Home Richard Dickey returned Sunday evening from four days in Great Falls, Mont, where he attended schooling for his department at Andersen Ford. He stopped in flood area of Idaho on his return home. Davies, son of Mr. and Mrs. Keith Davies, has been called to serve in the Tampa, Florida mission of the LDS church. Elder Davies will speak Sunday, Oct. 24 at 6 p.m. in the Brigham City First ward, Third East and First South. Bishop Melvin Peart invites ward members, friends and relatives to attend. Elder Davies enters the mission home on Nov. 6. He is a graduate of Box Elder High school and LDS seminary. He has earned his Duty to God award and is an Eagle scout. He spent tne last two sum mers working in the pineapple fields in Hawaii. An open house will be held at the Davies residence following the meeting.
