Summer is a bu$y time and there should be alot of news! Duxxing Dear River DUP headed w bell ringing at BR school By Karen Christensen Last week I received a phone call from the head of the Bell Ringing committee of the Daughter! of Utah Pioneers. She told me that 1 forgot to put it some, very important news last week. The D.U.P. was in charge of ringing the bell at the Bear River elementary school for the Fourth of July. The committee had worked for quite awhile with the bishop to make sure that this bell was rung at the enact moment that the rest of the nation was. Members of the committee were Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Mort-ensoMr. and Mrs. Roy sen and Mrs. Mary S. Anderson. It was very exciting to hear the bell ring exactly at noon. The audience in our chapel were o still that you could hear it very clearly. n, Story Omitted Im very sorry that this story was omitted. I really didnt know that I hadn't typed it along with the other story about the Bicentennial. The only problem is, is that they called me after the news came out, not before. If anyone wants a special story to be in this column they are going to have to call me, since I really dont know what is happening in everyones life. I.wish I had some power that would let me know exactly what people wanted in here, but I don't. So, it is up to you to let me know what is going on. It sure will save alot of hurt feelings if someone will take a few minutes to let me know of the special things that they want in the paper. My column is sent out on Monday morning, so you ' can call me anytime during the week before. If you happen to call a little late, then it can always go in the next paper. That way we will all be happy! w is Deweyvllle Dateline Many activii held for seniors Senior citizens of Brigham City are invited to get together with friends by participating jn activities sponsored for them by the Brigham City Community center.
