BY Mrs. Mu Nelson 7-- In conjunction with the Perry Bicentennial celebration, an outstanding talent show was held on July 2 in the Perry ward cultural hall. Norman Nelson acted as Master of ceremonies. Those participating in the juvenile division were Nancy Francis, who presented a jazz dance; Bridget Tomlinson, a tap dance; David Jenson, song "Grand Old Flag" and he accompanied himself on the piano; Susan Francis, a tap dance; and Shauna walker and Leslie Nelson a dance. In the junior division, ages 10 to IS were Lori Crouch, playing a piano solo, Battle Hyum of 2.18 talent show winners are pictured here. PERRY BICENTENNIAL ' Curtis Quayle, Wendy McNeely, Jayson Walker, Jan Christensen, Craig Davis, Kevin McNeely, Rose Ann Young, Joy Poulsen, Doug Walker, Carolyn while their parents, Lowell and Kathy Tingey, have spent three weeks on a tour to the Holy Lands. Kahty and Lowell arrived back to the United States on Tuesday evening and were met at the Salt Lake Airport by the Nelsons. They will visit in the area with family and friends for about a week before returning to their home in Yuba City. Barry Reeder has received his mission call to the LDS Hong Kong Mission. Sunday evening in the Perry first ward he will speak prior to his leaving. Sacrament meeting begins at 6 p.m. and all his friends and relatives are invited to attend. Visiting at the Wayne and Maxine Nelson home this past three weeks has been their grandchildren, Don, Tami, Ryan and Jann Tingey of California.
