Armed immediately prior to ignition, it will provide the energy to fire the main igniter. The S&A for the SRM is being produced by Consolidated Controls Corp. of El Segundo, Calif., under subcontract to Thiokol. It is the first such unit ever designed for reuse, according to A. L. Savoca, Thiokol vice president and Wasatch division general manager. - Is New Concept Component recovery and 'reusability is a new concept to design and development of the reusable S&A device, plus 44 actuation and monitor (A&M) units and 106 booster barriers to be used in the two part devices. A GIFT from . Council moves on flags nood A citizens' complaint has prompted Brigham City officials to pay new attention to American flags displayed in local parks, and in the downtown area, as well. At Thursdays weekly city council meeting, Mayor Harold B. Felt noted that a citizen had complained through a letter to the editor about the faded and holey condition of a flag at a city park. , Councilman Tolman Burke said when he formerly served as city office manager, it was a practice to keep a supply of new vtt jv iff one-thir- dont look good. With this, the council voted to acquire new flags in sufficient number to replace those in unacceptable condition, and to have some on hand as needed. ii Claybaugh said the approximately hours time spent controlling the four recent fires cost city residents over $600. WATCH YHM AAON t ii il (Continued From Page One) These grass fires are very expensive for city taxpayers. Taxpayers must pay $150 each time the fire whistle blows. "It is the responsibility of owners to keep lots free of weeds. It may be necessary in the future to bill owners for fires on their lots if they refuse to take care of this problem," said Claybaugh. d about of the flags displayed on Main street during holidays are faded and If the home food bill were divided equally among the local population it would average out to $2,285 per household. This compares, with $1,870 per household elsewhere in the United States and with $1,784 in the Mountain states. The report also shows how much was spent in the area for various other commodities. tMii'ii Lift Firo oxponso flags on hand. According to the report, just released, the amount spent per family for goods and services was at a relatively high level, although inflation was responsible to some degree for the increase. The details are contained in the annual market study made by the Standard Rate and Data service. It indicated just how much was spent locally by the average family for food, cars, furniture, clothing, drugs and other items. Comparable data is given for families in every other section of the country. In Box Elder county, it is shown, the largest part of the consumer dollar went for food.
