Mrs. Dean Firth of Bothwell is receiving treatment at the Valley hospital. She had the misfortune of falling and breaking her leg Thursday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Marion Newman of Bothwell spent some time during the holidays in Salt Lake City where they were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Newman and Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Newman and their families. Mr. and Mrs. Blair Summers entertained at a New Year's Eve party at their home in Bothwell. Those in attendance included Mr. and Mrs. Keith Burnhope, Mr. and Mrs. Reese Anderson, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Anderson and Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Anderson. The couples enjoyed a delicious luncheon games, and socializing. taking basic training at Lockland Air Force Base in Texas. Mr. and Mrs. DeLon Stokes and daughter, Shelley enjoyed dinner Tuesday evening at Maddox Ranch House in Brigham City. They were among 36 members of the Leslie George Stokes family that got together for the holiday meal. Doing Well Jan. 1, Mr. and Mrs. DeLon Stokes drove to Salt Lake City . where they visited Oscar Nelson at the St. Marks hospital. Oscar was involved in a traffic accident shortly before Christmas. He is reported doing well and should be released in the near future. Sharon and Vicki Burnhope, daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Keith Burnhope spent three days in Provo recently at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Gary Bernsen. The Bernsens brought the girls home and spent the day visiting at the Burnhope home in Bothwell. Miss Kayla Christensen accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Devere Adams and sons, Darryl and Douglas to Georgetown, Idaho Friday where they visited Mr. and Mrs. Don Clark and Selling Tickets Cub Scouts from the Bothwell family and Mr. and Mrs. Wayne area are joining with Cubs from Matthew and family of Gvid, other wards in selling tickets to Idaho. Promontory Reports Larsens back at home Elder Brian Parsons . . . speaks on Sunday 1st Ward to hear BC elder The homcoming testimonial for Elder Brian Parsons who recently returned from the Florida Ft. Lauderdale Mission, will be held Sunday in the Brigham City First Ward at 6 p.m. Bishop Melvin Peart invites all friends and relatives to attend. While serving in Florida, Elder Parsons labored in Pompano Beach, Key West, Tampa and Merritt Island. He also had the opportunity of touring the mission for five months with a singing group called the New Era, which also performed in Santo Domingo and Puerto Rico. A son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Parsons of 1157 Michelle drive, he is a graduate of Box Elder High school and attended Brigham Young university. He will continue his education at BYU. Elder Parsons will also report his mission in the Brigham City Sixth Ward on Jan. 18 at 6:30 p.m. Elder to give their two daughters visited Sunday afternoon with the Leo Flints. Friday meeting report Elder Henrie recently by Doris Flint Merlin and Wanda Larsen returned Sunday night from Idaho. They spent Christmas with the Blaine Mecham family, at Mountain Home, Idaho. They traveled from there to Idaho Falls where they visited with the Dean Shepherd. Helen Brown just returned Friday from Oregon. She left Monday by plane to spend part of her Christmas vacation with her son Jerald and wife Merry. It was her first plane trip and she believes it is a great way to travel. Of course, she had a good time while in Oregon. Everyone reports a great Christmas with the a very Happy New Year spent with relatives and friends. It is really fun to spend New Year's with friends. Merlin and Wanda came to visit for awhile the night before. We ended up eating corndogs for a New Year's snack. Stephen, Mike and Darren Reeder spent the weekend with grandpa and grandma Flint.
