The clean white snow and the bare trees make a certain stark beauty that I love. Of course, I love winter and autumn and spring and summer. In other words, as I have stated before, Im glad I live where the seasons change. It adds a certain spark to life that would be missing otherwise. Ive argued this point many times with some of my California friends. I suppose Bovee is right when he says, "The beauty seen is partly in him who sees it. One of the highlights of the trip was a chance to see the rare Russian Art exhibit, which is only being shown in the United States in New York and Los Angeles. The exhibit features many originals of the great masters from the Leningrad and Hermitage collection. Another interesting sidelight of the trip was a chance to see some of the Rose Bowl parade entries being assembled. Two of her brothers daughters were working on the floats. They visited an aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Seibel and son Bob in Hot Springs and visited in Long Beach with a relative and friends of Yates. In Long Beach they also enjoyed a tour of the Queen Mary. They spent some time relaxing and enjoying the beaches and arrived home New Years Day. Visit Here Mr. and Mrs. Don H. Valentine are so happy to have their son and daughter-in-law- , Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Valentine and their daughter Karin of Lexington, Ky., spending two and a half weeks with them.
