As with most of the town of Willard, Ive lost two good friends. I wish the old custom of a black band on the arm to show sorrow still was around. Today it would be a good two inches wide. I met Doris and Irvil Younger through the Lions club. For almost six months after I started doing the column, I spelled his name wrong each time I mentioned them in Willard Wrap up. Finally Doris mentioned it one day with a smile and I was determined not to make the same error again. I didnt. The next week I spelled it differently but still incorrectly. But the both of them just laughed off my apologies when they told me. Irvils picture in the paper captures that twinkle in his eye. He always looked like he was ready to tell someone a good funny joke. But I really cant remember him ever doing so. I think it must have been his zest for living coming through on his features. Because well all miss them this column today is most sincerely dedicated to the family and friends of the Youngers. Our condolences and sympathies to them all. and its school teacher Brent Pettingill for the sixth graders in his class. After dinner at Dees the group all went to the rink for an evening of fun. And he encouraged Bryce to call upon him often. Bryce was the concluding speaker. He said that our Heavenly Father loves each of us and is calling to us.
