Mr. and Mrs. W. Lee Thompson enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner with Mr. and Mrs. LaRall Thompson and family in Thatcher. Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Allred and daughter Tamra spent the Thanksgiving holidays visiting and daughter their Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Butler and family in Bountiful. Sunday they were joined by their and daughter Mr. and' Mrs. Enoch Hughes and family of Sylmar, Calif. Bishop Lee Allen is spending a couple of weeks in Chicago attending an appraisal school in conjunction with his real estate business in Tremonton. Bishop and Mrs. Lee Allen had as their dinner guests on Thanksgiving Mr. and Mrs. Rodger Callister of Logan, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Allen and two daughters of Beaver Dam and Mrs. Elma Petersen of Fieldson-in-la- son-in-la- MR. Browning was the father of the man who founded Browning Arms of Morgan. ing. Spending the Thanksgiving holidays in Las Vegas were Mr. and Mrs. Walter Burns. They visited their Mr. Hardy initiated and conducted guided tours of sites of historical interest to Mormons in the city, which tell the story of Nauvoo, a Mormon founded city. Mrs. Hardy was also named as one of the counselors in the womens organization. Of interest is that a son of the Hardys, David Kevin, is on a mission to Montana, and a is serving a mission to Texas. The Brigham City 12th Ward will be the site of a welcome home testimonial Sunday for Elder Mark V. Cowley, recently returned from the Sao Paulo North Brazilian mission. While in Brazil, Elder Cowley labored in Sao Paulo, in the areas of Vila Maria and Pedreira and also in the cities of Sao Carlos and Oscaro. Elder Cowley is the son of President and Mrs. Don R. Cowley. Bishop Charles Ogles of the sets open break ECRT on Tuesday The Box Elder county Emergency Communications Radio team will hold an' open break Tuesday 8 to 10:30 p.m. in the Rees Pioneer park bowery. The bowery is enclosed and heated. It is located at 880 West Forest. Free coffee and punch will be provided. The team will be selling food and tickets for prizes. Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks and Elks Lodge No. 2208 of Brigham City, this week announced the 1976-7- 7 Most Valuable Student contest. The funds distributed in this contest are derived from the Elks National Foundation trust fund investments. This trust fund was established in 1928 by a $100,000 gift to the national foundation. Since then it has grown to $28 million. Christmas Party accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Forsberg of Riverside were in St. George last week. They accompanied Mrs. Lynn Forsberg and children to St. George where she met her husband and returned with him to their home in China Lake, Calif. Mrs. Lynn Forsberg and children have been spending several weeks with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Delmer Braegger in Providence. Visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Bowcutt during the week were Mrs. Lois Clark, Mrs. Jerolyn Shamy and Don Earl of Salt Lake City. They enjoyed Juncheon together. Mr. and Mrs. Burke Peterson The Ladies Self Culture club is holding their Christmas party today at the home of Mrs. Louise Harper. The social ac- tivity committee consisting of Mrs. Dessie Campbell, Mrs. Tressie Steed, Mrs. Zina Marriott, Mrs. Hanna Davis and Mrs. Louise Harper are in charge of the afternoon entertainment. Games will be played and a social enjoyed. Gifts will be exchanged. Luncheon will be served. The Tremonton-Garlan- d Literary club met with Mrs. Marguerite Rich as hostess Wednesday evening. Mrs. Franke Johns gave an interesting review of Marvin and Bernard Kalbs book entitled Kissinger. Refreshments were served. Mr. and Mrs. James Wood accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Earl Wood of Howell enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner with Mr. and Mrs. Shelby L. Whiting in Brigham City. S.R. Terry R. David has left for San Diego to resume his duties with the U.S. Navy after spending this week visiting Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Davis and family, Mr. and Mrs. O.C. Davis and other relatives in this area.
