Show Plymouth Ponderings BOX ELDER JOURNAL, Brigham City, Utah elder Families entertain to speak visitors from Wash. at meeting BE by Flo Munson Mr. and Mrs. Chad Starr and children Shelby, Rachelle and Brian of Fort Lewis, Wash., have been spending the past two weeks visiting Mr. and Mrs. Carl Starr and Mr. and Mrs. Norris Hess and family. Sunday they were dinner guests at the home of Chads grandmother, Mrs. Loretta Starr. During the week Mr. and Mrs. Newel Nish hosted a cook-ou- t at their home. Guests were Mr. and Mrs. Don Nish and family of Bountiful, Mr and Mrs. Verl Nish and son Colby of Riverside, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Stokes and family. Overnight guests of Mrs. Ethel Rudd Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Ray Pingle of Bountiful. last week were Mr. and Mrs. J .B. Estep, Mr. and Mrs. Odean Estep and family, Mr. and Mrs. Steed Estep and Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Burgess and family. Mr. and Mrs. J.B. Estep were in Brigham City on business Tuesday. Mrs. Patti Mason of Citrus Heights, Calif., is visiting Mr. and Mrs. Hal Mason and family and Mr. and Mrs. R.L. Mason. Holly and Michelle Mason who have been spending sometime at the Hal Mason home will accompany their mother home. Weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Peterson were Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Peterson and daughters Kelly and DeDe of Clinton. They enjoyed fishing at Devils Creek. Grant Steed and daughter Holly of Clearfield spent Tues- day visiting Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Steed. Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Pierson were Mr. and Mrs. Melvin (Sharon Pierson) Evans and sons Brian and Tyler of Ketchum, Idaho. Mr. and Mrs. Orvin Pierson and family of Fielding joined them for a dinner party. On Business Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Lamb were overnight guests of Mr. and Mrs. Lamont Wakely and family in Bancroft, Idaho, Friday. Saturday they were in Soda Springs on business. Enroute home they visited Mrs. Lambs mother Mrs. Edith Atkinson in Samaria. Mrs. Newel Nish and Mrs. Joseph Stokes were in Ogden on business Thursday. Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Steed were Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Steed and three children of Ogden. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Whiting accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Jay Sandall and family of n, attended the Pony League tournament in Soda Springs Thursday through Saturday. The Bear River won second place. The small daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Greg (Jean Anderson) Lamb was blessed in the Belmont ward sacrament meeting Sunday by her uncle, Leon Anderson, and given the name of Mindi Jo Lamb. Following the meeting a dinner party was held at the Lamb home. Guests were Mrs. Irene Anderson, Guy Harris of Tremonton, Mr. and Mrs. Leon Anderson, Chris, Kathy and Carol Anderson and Leah Oyler of East Garland, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Peterson w described tracts. Mindi and Corey Barnes of Brigham City have been spending a few days with their grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Ray Udy and family while their parents Mr. and Mrs. Craig Barnes attended an invitational Pony League tournament in Rexburg Thursday through Sunday. Brigham City league won the championship. Mr. and Mrs. LaMont Wakely and family of Bancroft, Idaho, visited Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Lamb and family Monday. Baby Blessed Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Secrist attended Sacrament meeting in Bear River City Sunday where their grandson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth (Annette Secrist) Adams was blessed and given the name of Kip Rex Adams. Following the meeting the family met at the Bear River City park for a luncheon and social. The ceramic class students attended the Ceramic Arts Association of Utah luncheon at the Weber college union building on Saturday, to view the ceramic collection by members of the state organization. Twelve ladies attended and six of the 12 were door prize winners of ceramic pieces. Ceramic favors were also given at the luncheon tables. The woodworking equipment .will soon be taken to the old police building and all carpenters will have an opportunity to use this machinery. Activities have been curtailed due to the large ceramic class in the craft room. The area will be replaced with the potters wheel for classes this fall. He will appear during the Childrens Hour from 2 to 3 p.m. Uncle Roscoe first visited the Brigham Carnegie library during Library Week in April of this year. He told stories from Rudyard Kiplings The Jungle Book, sang songs, and recited poetry. He also drew original pictures of different kinds of wild animals for the children.
