Show 16 Tremonton Tales BOX ELDER JOURNAL, Brigham City, Utah Thursday, August 7, 1975 Perry Pulse Methodist Softball team looks toward region play by Mrs. Max Nelson Members of the Perry First ward young mens jr. softball team defeated the Willard Second ward team last Saturday evening by a score of 11 to 3 to give the Perry First warders first place in the Brigham City South stake playoffs. The boys along with their coach, Craig Hansen, have performed well together this year and are looking forward to regional play this week. Members of the team are Kelly Nelson, Reese Nelson, Kale Greenhalgh, Deven Anderson, Kenneth Quayle, Craig Davis, Barry Braithwaite, Barry Reeder, Bruce Christensen, Lawrence Kano, Steven Barnard, Blake Young, Craig Ellis, Calvin Bonine, and Kenneth Bradbury. We'd like to congratulate them on their achievement and wish them the best of luck in their future games. Members of the Perry First wards senior team are also in regional playoffs this week. Girls Camp Last week found the girls from the Perry First and the Perry Second wards at girls camp. They participated in camping activities with other wards from the Brigham City South stake at Camp Bartlett in Idaho. The girls left Tuesday morning and arrived home Friday afternoon. I understand their spirits were not dampened despite two days and nights of rain. Girls from the Perry First ward were Holly Johnson, Brenda Nelson, Debbie Johnson, Lovonna Jenks, Cheri Reeder, Rozane Young, Carol Wright, Janet Higgs, Wendy McNeely, Diana McNeely, Judy Smith, Dianna Davis, Carolyn Nelson, Rosalie Johnson, Jan Christensen, Teresa Dickey, Shara Anderson, and Shanal Anderson. Camp leaders were Laurie Wright and Mrs. Vickie Anderson. Assisting them in taking the girls and spending some time at camp were Janice Johnson, LaDene Christensen, Janice Nelson, Sandy Ridenhour, and Bob Davis. Debbie Johnson was given the award for the best camp helper. chairman of the resettlement committee, and any information concerning housing or employment will be greatly appreciated. We hope she is soon up and around and back home fully recovered. A former resident of Perry, Harvey Mace of Arizona, also spent some time last week at the McKay hospital in Ogden. While in Deadwod they took a stage coach ride and the tour guide told them of the history of the town. They spent time in another wax museum, this one was entitled Ghosts of Ponytail League The members of the Ponytail league from Perry were recently awarded the sportsmanship trophies for their endeavors during their season. They played teams from Brigham City and Willard and had a real fun year. They were coached by Mrs. Yvone Adams and Mrs. LaDene Rhodes and at the awards ceremony each girl was presented an individual trophy for their sportsmanship. Michelle Adams was named Little Miss Hustler for the Perry team. Members of the team were Wendy Wilson, Nancy Thompson, Shanal Anderson, Shara Anderson, Michille Adams, Tammy Ronk, Kathy Lundy, Mardi Thodes, Patti Walker, Linda Christensen, Teri Lewis, Cindy Call, Tammy Adams, Deadwood. At Custer, S.D., they drove out to the monument that is being carved in the mountains of Chief Crazy Horse. When this monument is complete in about 1985 it will be larger than the presidents at Mt. Rush-mor- e. small replica was on display and they found it very interesting comparing it with the actual work being done on the face of the mountain. Near Custer they drove by the Flintstone City and viewed many of the Flintstone characters. One of the canyons they came through on their return home through Wyoming was Ten Sleep Canyon. Here each president of the United States was captured in an original settting of some famous event that took place while he was in office. The wax e that figures were so Mrs. Floyd (Wallsie) McFall is in the St. Benedicts hospital in room 329 for tests. She was taken to the hospital last Saturday. Baby sitting and supervision of children will be provided in the recently installed educational facility. Congregational meetings are designed to include anyone interested in the program and future of Aldersgate.
