The meeting was called by and under the direction of stake President Gilbert, Dickey and Twitchell. Also present and sitting on the stand were stake Executive Secretary Searle, stake Clerk Eldon Watts, three of the full time missionaries in our area and a good share of the High Councilmen. Bishop Blacker conducted and after the opening song led by LuDene Young and accompanied by Ruth Warren, the prayer was offered by former Bishop Harvey Braegger. President Gilbert said the purpose of the meeting was to announce the new ward division. It was not a hasty decision but came after 18 months of consideration. The second ward bishopric is Bishop Dale Holmes, Tom Christensen and Glenn Widdison. The third ward bishopric is Gay Pettingill, Ned Fairbanks and Doug Parsons. Boyd Nelson is the assistant ward clerk for finance. The people were told that only those announced were released. All others will assume their same positions in the wards they now reside in until changes are made from the pulpit. Bishop Blacker, Bishop Holmes and Bishop Pettingill each bore their testimonies afterwhich the time was turned over to Bishop Holmes who announced the closing song and the benediction by Tom Christensen.
