They were joined by Mr. and Mrs. Jay Udy and family of Salt Lake City. Swimming was enjoyed in the Udys private swimming pool. Mrs. Verl Anderson accompanied by her uncle Ernest Earl of Logan attended an Earl family reunion held at Lorin Farr park in Ogden Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Watts and family have returned to their home in Olmsted, Ohio, after spending the past several weeks visiting Mrs. Watts parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wendel Welling. Tuesday evening prior to their leaving Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Watts, Mr. and Mrs. Wendel Welling joined Mr. and Mrs. Scott Holmgren of Salt Lake City at the Heidleburg restaurant in Farmington for a dinner party for Mrs. Holmgren (Gloria Welling) who was observing her birthday anniver- sary. Visiting Mr. and Mason during the Mr. and Mrs. Don and daughter Tracy Mrs. E.C. week were Robertson of Reno. Attend Reunion Flo Munson accompanied by her sister Nettie Lott of Bothwell attended a Samuel and Maria Holton Pack reunion held at Lava Hot springs Sunday. Lee(Mabie of Twin Falls was president for this years reunion and Flo Munson was secretary. Approximately 100 attended. Afternoon guests of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hess and family Friday were Mrs. Lavona Hess, Mrs. Grace Fessler and Mrs. DeAnn Stanford of Ogden. Overnight guests of Mr. and Mrs. E.C. Mason Saturday were Mr. and Mrs. Dent Mason of Ogden. Sunday they enjoyed a drive through the Deer creek area and enjoyed dinner at Marves cafe in Smithfield. Mrs. Sara Moss spent Wednesday with her sister Mrs. Vadis Gilgen in Malad. Sunday Mrs. Verl Anderson accompanied her parents Mr. and Mrs. Leo Earl of Logan to Layton where they attended Sacrament meeting in the ward n of chapel. The Mr. and Mrs. Leo Earl, son of great-grandso- Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Sorenson was blessed by his father. Others attending were Mr. and Mrs. Grant Sorenson, Mr. and Mrs. Randy Barber and baby of Logan, Mr. and Mrs. Jay Sorenson and family of Smithfield. Following the services Mrs. Anderson and her parents enjoyed a dinner party at Maddox Ranch house in Perry. Wedding Reception Mrs. Wendel Welling accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Clark and Mr. and Mrs. Verl Gofrey of Clarkston attended a wedding reception in the North Ogden Stake center Friday evening for Mr. and Mrs. Michael Jay Griffiths. Spending the weekend in Idaho Falls as guests of Mr. and Mrs. Gerry Gam and family were Mr. and Mrs. Karl King and son Michael and daughters Kristy and Wendy. Mr. and Mrs. Lenny Smith and family spent Monday evening at Belmont Springs where they enjoyed swimming. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Pulver and daughter Michelle and Jana Dee Adams spent a couple of days at Tonys Lake during the past week. Miss Mary Leibelt of American Fork spent Sunday visiting her brother-in-laand sister Mr. and Mrs. John McClellan and family. Theron Godfrey of Logan visited Hyrum Godfrey Tuesday. The Stimpsons were enroute to El-m- Dietrich, Idaho, where they plan to make their home for the present. Helen Mason and Flo Munson visited Mae Hansen and family in Brigham City Thursday. Weekend guests of Mrs. Rachel Burton and family and Mrs. Elma Petersen were Mr. and Mrs. Norman Petersen and family of Bountiful. They came especially to attend the wedding reception for Christine Bywater who became the bride of Alan K. Gardner of Riverside in rites performed in the Logan LDS temple Aug. 1. The reception was held in the garden at the home of the brides parents Mr. and Mrs. Milton Bywater and family Friday evening. Visiting Flo Munson and family Tuesday was Karen Stokes of Bothwell. Deweyville Dateline Great-grandfath- Oregon Visitors Visiting at the Steven Marble home last week were Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Hurst and family. They came from Oregon. Mrs. Hurst is a sister of Mrs. Marble. Little Conde Wooden of Ogden is visiting for a time with the Marble family. Mr. and Mrs. Rupert Black-haaccompanied Mr. and Mrs. Dale Blackham and girls to Yellowstone park for several days last week. Members of the Daniel M. Burbank family held their annual reunion at the park last Saturday. They enjoyed dinner and visiting. Also meeting at an Anderson family reunion last week at the Park were Mr. and Mrs. Howard Baker, Portland, Ore., Mrs. Donna Glenn, Nyssa, Ore., Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Crawford, Arco, Idaho, the Clair Christensens of Berkley, Calif., Mr. and Mrs. Ernie Chivante, Car-so- n City, Nev., the John Bountiful, Porter Christensens, Thatcher, Dee Park Valley, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Christensen, Mrs. m Gro-berg- s. Hir-schi- s, Tina and Lesa and son Craig accompanied by Dixie King of Fielding and Judy Taylor of Provo attended a Taylor reunion held at Ross Park in g recuperating following Pocatello. Tina accompanied her uncle and aunt Mr. and Mrs. D. Taylor to Burley to spend a few days visiting. She will also spend a few days visiting her grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Burnell Kennington in Twin Falls. Mr. and Mrs. A1 ShapirO and son Harry of Spokane have been spending the past week visiting Mrs. Shapiros mother Mrs. surgery. Baptized Grandson Mr. and Mrs. Rosel Zundel spent Saturday and Sunday visiting Mr. and Mrs. Dale Valdez and family in Salt Lake City. Saturday Rosel Zundel baptized his grandson Brian Valdez. That evening a family party was held at the Valdez home. Attending in addition to Mr. and Mrs. Rosel Zundel were Mr. and Mrs. Steve Shaffer and family of Gardnerville, Nev., Mrs. Celia Bennett and family, Mr. and Mrs. Kerry Zundel and daughters Melissa and Misty Jo of Tremonton. They were over- Minnie Potter, Keith Bolingbr-okeall of Tremonton, Mr. and Mrs. Richard (Ann Holdaway) Boes, and son, Wayne Lorin, East Lansing, Mich., Mrs. s, James Holdaway and Mrs. Henry Marble of Deweyville. Richard and Ann will be here for a week or so visiting with family and friends. Madsen Reunion There were also 55 family members who attended the Eliza Madsen reunion, Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Jr. Madsen and children from Anchorage, Alaska, joined with other members of the Arlin Madsen family for the event. Also attending were Mr. and Mrs. Bill (Myrna Madsen) Palmer and children from Clinton, Mr. and Mrs. Larin Petersen and children from Ogden, and Mr. and Mrs. Steve Madsen and children from Sunset. Mrs. LaVar Franco was mak- to go to N.M., Monday. She had been notified of the death of ing arrangements her grandmother, Sunday. Little Miss Brenda Burbank was guest of honor at a family dinner for her third birthday, Friday evening. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Brian Burbank. Grandparents Doug and Marjorie Burbank, great grandparents Gus and Lettie Burbank, uncles Jess and Craig and Uncle Randy and Aunt Marcia with Marci Jo and Greg, from Hyrum were there to wish Happy Brithday. The big thrill for our Brenda was not being able to go to Junior Sunday school all by myself. Members of the young adult class of the Sunday school had a party in Logan Canyon, Saturday evening. We combined a welcome home party for Jeff Burbank with a farewell party for Les Wheatley and Beva Marble. Beva will be leaving for Denver, Colo., soon on a new job assignment for Civil Service, and Les to Texas to fulfill a mission. There were a lot of good eats and plenty of laughs to make it a real fun time. Tommy drove up to Denver last weekent to bring his wife and son back to Mantua. Visiting with the Southern family are Carols sister and her husband, Janie and Phil Wolfenbarger, from Oklahoma City. On Monday afternoon, the sisters uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. B. J. Anderton, from Long Beach, Calif., stopped by for a visit. The Andertons were en route to Pocatello, Idaho for a vacation. homecoming Elder Harvey Kiggs, recently returned from the Indiana Perry. He served as zone leader in Kokomo, Ind., as district leader in Auburn and labored in South Bend and Indianapolis. He also labored in Central City, Ky. Bishop Lynn Reeder invites all friends and relatives of the elder to attend the meeting. Visiting Mr. and Mrs. Dale Hansen and family in Brigham City Monday were Mr. and Mrs. E.C. Mason. They also enjoyed dinner at the Idle Isle cafe. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Abbott and Mrs. Abbotts mother, Mrs. Dorothy Cardon of Mesa, have been spending a good share of their time at the University Medical center in Salt Lake City where the small son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Abbott is receiving special care. At this writing, Mrs. Abbott reports he is slowly improving. The baby was born July 24, and was named Tyson Kyle Abbott. Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Darvel Garn were Mr. and Mrs. E.E. Mr. and Mrs. Clive Garn and son Craig were in Park Valley on business during the week. Doug Adams returned home Friday after spending two weks visiting Mr. and Mrs. Dale Warren in Woodland, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. Warren and daughter Careen accompanied him home and spent the weekend at the DeVere Adams home. Saturday the entire group accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Earl Gordon of Smithfield attended a Godon reunion held in the Draper park. Karen Gordon, a student at BYU in Provo accompanied the Adams home. Mr. and Mrs. DeVere Adams and son Doug accompanied Karen back to Provo Monday morning. The family of John Peacock will meet in a family reunion Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Brigham City Community center, Second West and Forest. It is located across from the home formerly owned by Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Smith, Kayla and Tim have previously been living in Ogden. We would like to welcome them to our community. Jerry and Joan Richards had a lovely Boise Cascade home moved into Fielding Thursday. It is located opposite the home they have been living in. Mr. and Mrs. Verl Udy and Mr. and Mrs. Tim Parker attended rodeos in Preston Thursday and Friday evenings. Tim and participated in bull riding.
