Show I Garland Gazette Radiology Mrs. Davis wins $225 on 'Big Money Movie' by Flo Munson Congratulations goes to Mrs. O.C. (Hanna) Davis who was the winner on the Big Money Movie evening show Wednesday. Mrs. Davis was delighted when the host of the show, Bernie Calderwood called her by phone from KSL-Tand she was able to correctly answer his questions. She will receive a check for $225. The Garland Birthday club met at the home of Mrs. Meri Meyer Thursday evening. A delicious luncheon was enjoyed afterwhich the evening was spent in playing bunco. Prizes went to Mrs. Hanna Davis, Mrs. Esther Elmer and Mrs. Zina Marriott. Elmer has home after an en- Frank Mrs. returned joyable vacation in Nevada and California. They joined other family members for a reunion held in the Sequois National Forest. Mrs. Elmer also visited her niece Mrs. Stanley Sur and family in Monterey. Visiting Mr. and Mrs. W. Lee Thompson Tuesday were Brigham Godfrey and Leland Godfrey of Clarkston. Spending a few days visiting Mr. and Mrs. Robert Meyer and family last week were Mr. and Mrs. Warren Davidson and children Heather and Morgan of Mapleton. William Merrill accompanied his Scout Troop 127, consisting of 14 boys to Camp Bartlett to spend this week. Arriving this week to spend a week visiting Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Davis and family are Mrs. Davis grandparents Mr. and Mrs. A.A. Bibbett of Card-stoAlberta, Canada. Mr. and Mrs. LaMont Richards and son Brent and daughter Gloria spent the 4th of July visiting Mrs. Richards mother Mrs. Archie Gill and other relatives in Preston. Mr. and Mrs. Jay Law and daughter Cami and son Carl of Salt Lake City spent the weekend visiting Mr. and Mrs. Craig Law and family. They enjoyed camping at the City of Rocks in Idaho. Visiting Mr. and Mrs. W. Lee Thompson Monday were Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Standing of Denver. They also visited Mr. and Mrs. R.L. Packer in Tremonton. Leaving Saturday for their home in Sylmar, Calif., were Mr. and Mrs. Enoch Hughes and family who have been vacationing with Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Allred and family. Mrs. Den Bair has been receiving medical care in the Logan hospital. The small daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Limb was blessed by her father in Sacrament meeting Sunday and given the name of Amy June Limb. Immediately following the meeting a dinner party was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Don Limb and family. Attending were Mr. and Mrs. Lemo Christensen and sons Bert and Bart of Brigham City, Mr. and Mrs. Craig Christensen and five children of Bountiful, David Nye of Logan, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Limb and three children. Ray is on furlough from Lawry AFB in Denver. After a short furlough he will report to the AFB in Fairbanks, Alaska. Their daughter, Mrs. Joseph (Geniel) Wall and son Joey, have been visiting from Texas. Geniel said she just hasnt been getting home often enough, since it has been four years from their last trip home. They got in a lot of good family visiting and doing things during their stay. Before they left by plane for the return to their Texas home, June entertained at a family dinner. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Marble and children were there as were Mr. and Mrs. Colyn Knudsen. The Bill- - Potters came from East Garland, as did Mr. and Mrs. Shaffer and children, also of East Garland. A lot of Birthday Dinner Mr. and Mrs. Roger Mason and children went to Ogden last Wednesday evening to take Roger's mother, Mrs. Glenn Mason, out to birthday dinner. Mrs. Mason is continuing to improve in the rest home in Ogden and that is good news. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Gardner, Mrs. Orion Snow and Mrs. Charles Litchford went to the viewing of Glenda Dewey Kirk last week in Salt Lake City. She was a daughter of Mrs. Stella Gardner, former Deweyville resident. Funeral services were conducted in Colton, Calif, for Mrs. Kirk. Miss Stacey Hunt was a weekend guest at the Jack Germer home. She is a school mate of Miss Bonnie Germer at BYU. planning to spend the coming four years at the University of Utah Medical Center in Salt Lake City as a radiologist. Dr. Forsberg is the son of Mr. and Mrs Gus Forsberg of Garland. and Mr. Mrs. Gary Wangsgard and children are at home for a short while. Gary and Jolene had a fascinating trip to Israel.
