Show 6 BOX P- jj JOURNAL, Brigham City, Utah Thursday, July 10, 1975 ELDER Friday luncheon beckons seniors -Obituaries Fridays weekly luncheon for senior citizens at the Brigham City Community center will feature meat loaf, baked squash, avocado lettuce salad, Lewis L.V. Mills Lewis L. V. Mills, 92, of Corinne, died Sunday, July 6, 1975, at the Pioneer Memorial Nursing home in Brigham City of causes incident to age. He was born Sept. 10, 1882, at Cove, Sevier county, Utah, the son of George and Caroline Bates Mills. He married Leanora Thayne on July 22, 1903 in the Manti LDS temple. She died June 6, 1970. Mr. Mills was reared and educated in Joseph, Sevier county. He farmed and was a freighter to the Uintah basin and to the Uintah Indian reservation from Price. He also made trips from the Sevier valley to Ely and other mining camps in Nevada. He made a trip every 10 days, using two outfits with four horses on each wagon. He hauled supplies and general merchandise to areas not served by the railroad. He drove the stage from Sevier to Kimberly, then called and the Gold Mountain, Annie Lourie mine in Piute county. Mr. Mills was an active member of the LDS church. He as served Elder Fred Baugh comes home from mission Mrs. Alice Morrison Lee, 82, died Saturday, July 5, 1975, in an Ogden nursing home after an extended illness. She was born May 15, 1893, in Brigham City, a daughter of Wilson K. and Elizabeth Boden Morrison. She was married to Ely Forsgren Lee on June 29, 1916, in the Logan LDS temple. He died in August of 1934. She was reared in Brigham City were she attended school. She moved to Ogden in 1943. Mrs. Lee taught school in Moroni, had been employed with the Farm Security adas a home ministration economist in Fillmore and had taught at the Utah Schools for the Deaf and Blind in Ogden. She was a graduate of Utah State Agricultural college in Logan. She was a member of the Ogden 17th ward, had taught in the MIA and Sunday school and had been active in Relief society. She was a member of the Retired Teachers association and the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. Surviving are two sons, Robert E. Lee, Las Vegas, Nev.; Kirkwood M. Lee, Ogden; and three daughters, Mrs. Jack (Beth) Scottorn, Fillmore; Mrs. t LaVon Mills, Whitehall, Mont.; Mrs. William (Lilly) Bennett, Brigham City; Mrs. Arthur (Lizzie) Hansen, Benjamin; and Mrs. C. F. (Laura) Miller, Silverton, Ore. Also surviving are 33 grand68 greatchildren, grandchildren, and three Funeral services were held on Wednesday at the Corinne ward chapel. Interment was in the Brigham City cemetery. Jack (Duke) Weaver, 60, of Stonewall, Okla., died Wednesday, July 3, 1975 in the Ada Valley hospital of cancer. He was born July 7, 1914 in Perry, a son of James Albert and Dollie Cooke Weaver. Surviving are his widow of Stonewall, four sons and two daughters; Delbert E. Weaver, Ronald D. Weaver, both of Long Beach, Calif.; J. Brent Weaver, Duane J. Weaver and Mrs. Larry (Rojean) Roy, all of San Francisco, Calif.; Hancey, (Margie) Clearfield; and Mrs. Harold (Mary) Youngfield, Syracuse. Also surviving are 24 grandand 20 children greatgrandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Lindquist and Sons Colonial chapel in Ogden with Bishop Verl Clark officiating. was in the Interment Brigham City cemetery. Albert D. Weaver Duane Elder Fred Baugh has recently returned from the Alice M. Lee Leslie Mills, Blythe Mills, Mrs. Fred '(Lena) Walker, all of Corinne; Albert Fred Baugh to report mission stay Lewis L.V. Mills superintendent and in other capacities. He moved to Corinne 41 years ago. He was a former farmer and rancher in West Corinne for two terms and was a former member of the Corinne Farm Bureau. He is survived by three sons and four daughters, Villadene K. Banks LaNona Seaver of Houston, Tex.; five grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Parley (Lucille) Deem, Huntsville; and Mrs. Della W. Deem of Harrisville. Funeral services will be held Saturday in Stonewall. Interment will be in the Stonewall cemetery. Austrian LDS mission. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred B. Baugh, Jr. of Brigham City. While in Austria, Elder Baugh served in Vienna, Salzburg, Villach and Steyr under Pres. Neil B. Schearrer. After completing his mission, he toured Europe for three weeks. Elder Baugh will give a report on his mission Sunday, July 13, at 4:30 p.m. in the 13th Ward chapel. Bishop Reed Hadfield invites friends to attend.
