Show Oscar Richardson memorial BOX ELDER JOURNAL, Brigham City, Utah Top prep matmen BR busy Friday on Laker court to compete in Saturday tourney Probably the outstanding high school wrestling show in Utah this year short of state will be tourney competition staged at Box Elder High school Saturday, Dec. 21. It will be the Oscar Richardson Memorial with eight teams slated to compete, including 1973-7- 4 Class AAAA champion Brighton. action will get underway at 10 a.m. with enusing rounds scheduled for 12:30 and 3 p.m. Consolation finals are on tap at 6:30 p.m. and championship finals at 7:30 p.m. First-roun- d Admission prices will be $1.50 per session for adults and 75 cents for students (there are three sessions: The first round is one, the second and third rounds are another and the consolation and championship finals comprise the third session). Tickets for the entire tournament are priced at $3 for adults and $1.50 for students. Other Teams Fours Region Brighton will be Hillcrest which placed third at state last year. Region Three champs East, Sky View which placed seventh at state, Clearfield, Region Two dual meet titlists, Weber, Kearns and host Box Elder, defending Region One Joining Heading into the tourney, Box Elder, Weber, East, Brighton, and Hillcrest are undefeated this season. Fans will have an opportunity to see a host of grapplers in action, among them eight boys who placed fourth or higher in last years state classic. Buell probably the best bowler to come from the state and is a former employee of Maxies when he owned bowling establishments in Ogden. Buell will be in Brigham City at 8:30 p.m. to bowl against him. There, too, will be Joe Barney, to whom this marathon is The bowling's free but a $1 a line is charged which goes to help the kids. And participants have a chance of taking home a little dedicated. The 67 games coincide with Maxies age at his next birthday anniversary on Christmas Day. But the maestro of Utah bowling is celebrating early with the charity benefit to aid blind and needy children in Box Elder county.
