Guest speaker for the luncheon will be Dr. Bruce Keller, a Brigham City physician, speaking on "Your Physical and mfi m aauDiiD Mental All newcomers are encouraged to bring their favorite recipes for the cookbook being published by the club. A nursery is provided at Gillespie hall with a charge of S for the first child and for each additional child. Reservations for the luncheon may be made by calling before Monday, Oct. 14, at noon. Estelle Price will bring some stuffed animals and a decorated cake to show, and there will be lots of ideas exhibited for holiday decorations that can be made at home. Members are encouraged to share any of their own decorating ideas and to bring a sample of a holiday food and the recipe. While she was in Brigham City she was a houseguest of Mrs. Myrtle Hollingsworth. She planned on spending some time also visiting in Bountiful, with her sisters while she was here. One day Mrs. Hollingsworth and Mrs. Welling motored to Alta where they enjoyed dinner at the lodge with Mrs. Florence Richardson of this city and Mrs. Wellings two sisters, Mrs. Shirl (Verna) Anderson, Mrs. L.A. Family gathers Saturday, Oct. 5, found 58 members of the Alfred G. and Pricilla Cordon Barker family meeting at the Bowery in Rees Pioneer park for a family that included dinner and visiting. Included in the members present were the family of Mrs. LaVern Barker Call of Rigby, Idaho, and 18 of her decendents from that area; Mrs. Veda Barker Mason of Tremonton and 12 of her family, Mrs. Audra Barker Call of Willard and 11 of her family, and Don Barker of Willard and 18 of his family. The bride is the former Debra C. Jeppsen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Merlin H. Jeppsen of Hot Springs, formerly of Brigham City. Parents of the bridegroom are Robert H. Stamey of Ogden and Mrs. Lgla Clontz of Emmett, Idaho. Before her marriage the bride attended Box Elder High school. The bridegroom is a graduate of Weber Stale college and has served in the US Navy. In my chat with Mrs. Welling I learned that her daughter Mrs. Dennis (Betsy) Abold of Phoenix had spent a week with her in Las Vegas and her son and family Mr. and Mrs. Jim Harmon still make their home in Los Altos, Calif. She told me Jim is on a month-lonbusiness trip to Europe. g Home Again Mr. and Mrs. Herb Adamson are home again after a trip to the Northwest. They traveled to Springfield, two-wee- k Ore., where they visited their Mrs. Herbert daughter-in-laAdamson and her two sons Herb and Matt. Leaving there they traveled to Pasco, Wash., where they visited her brother and sister-in-laMr. and Mrs. Bud Nornwest their in camper. They went to Seattle where they visited their son and daughter-in-laMr. and Mrs. Steve and Idaho Falls they visited her sister and brother-in-laMr. and Mrs. Grant Andrus in Inkom, Idaho. Buzzing Around Mr. and Mrs. Alden Jensen have spent four days in the sun at Las Vegas and watched the pros in the Sahara International Golf Tournament. They also saw some good shows including Engelbert Humperdink and Williams performances. Party Line wires picked up news the that former Brighamite Mrs. A.D. Cooley was in town last week saying hello to friends. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Fulton took their motor home and spent the weekend enjoying the beautiful autumn leaves in our canyons. Mr. and Mrs. Edward Tuga were so happy to have some old school classmates come to spend a couple of days with them. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Belew spent Friday and Saturday here. It was the first time they had seen each other since their graduation thirteen years ago. Andy Take Trips Mrs. Adelia Runyan has been busy the past few weeks. She traveled to Olympia, Wash., where she visited a brother, Paul Barnard, for ten days. He had just returned home from a hospital stay. While she was there a niece took her to Seattle and touring other points of interest. This week Mrs. Runyan is enjoying a visit from another DUP News Oak Camp Oak Camp of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers will hold their October meeting at the home of Mrs. Neoma Pett, 420 South First West, on Thursday, Oct. of their facility. They traveled and also visited the NBC television studios in Burbank, where the electronic marvels of television programs may be observed when scheduled. They had dinner at the famous Universal commissary where extras in their colorful costumes and many of the starts are seen. Another tour took them to the famous HMS Queen Mary, which is now retired from active sea duty and berthed in Long Beach as a permanent exhibit. More than three hours are allowed aboard to view every area of the ship. With those highlights and many other places of interest visited, the three had a most enjoyable trip. 00 They were married on Oct. 14, Brigham City and the marriage was later solemnized LDS temple. Mr. and Mrs. Nelson spent their married life at Lynn, Box Elder County, where they were ranchers until two years ago when they moved to Burley. in the Logan They are the parents of five children: Keith, Don and Mrs. Glen (Maureen) Toole of Burley; Phyllis Johnson Ogden; and a son Wayne died in childhood. The family invites all friends and relatives to call on Mr. and Mrs. Nelson, and requests that no gifts be brought. Bott has returned from a pleasant eight days visiting family members in California. Dr. and Mrs. Wayne Bott were in Utah visiting with him and her folks and when they returned to their home in Napa, Calif., he went with them. He visited in Napa several days then went to Santa Rosa to see his brother LeRoy who was just home from a hospital stay. He flew from Oakland to Santa Ana to spend some time with his and daughter Mr. and Mrs. Mark (Margaret) Phipps.
