BOX ELDER JOURNAL, Brigham City, Utah 5 Thursday, October 10, 1974 Credit Women International, Rocket club, will hold its annual installation banquet on Friday, Oct. 11, at 7:30 p.m. at the Community center. Members of the club are urged to attend, and are inviting partners and their bosses to be in attendance for the occasion. Taking office for the coming year in the club will be JoAnn Heninger, president; Joyce Harmon, first vice president; Cleora Rawlins, second vice president; Winnifred Loveland, third vice president; Marge Anderson, secretary; Linda by Flo Munson Do you ever have a craving for lasagna? Mrs. Bruce R. (Pat Koford) Christensen shares her recipe with Box Elder Journal readers for lasagna which, along with a green tossed salad and some garlic bread, is a meal in itself. Pat is a charming and interesting hostess. In talking with her I found she was born in Bothwell, spent her girlhood in Garland, graduating from Bear River High school and LDS seminary. She was employed at the Box Elder County bank in Brigham City prior to and after her marriage. Her husband is of the Box Elder County bank in Brigham City. I met my husband on a blind date when I was a 'senior in high school, she said, "we were married in the fall after I graduated. Lee, treasurer. Retiring president of the local club is Rose Byinton, with her officers having included JoAnn Heninger, Joyce Harmon, Cleora Rawlins, Winifred Loveland and Janet Petersen, who will be honored as they retire from office and step into new positions of responsibility in the club. Lived In Twin Falls The Christensens lived in Twin Falls for approximately one year before moving to Brigham City. Their lovely home which was constructed less than a year ago has four levels and is beautifully furnished. "Its the third new home w'eve had in Brigham City, Pat smiled as she told me, we had a basic design, however, we made 350 changes of our own to have it exactly the way we both wanted it to be. Because Pat is taller than the average young homemaker she has her kitchen constructed for her height higher cabinets for storage, the oven is installed at a higher level, etc. Bruce did the wiring and has a full ceiling light in our kitchen it is very attractive and we have no shadows anywhere. The Christensen home, located at 1200 Michelle drive, has a beautiful view from the windows in the kitchen and living room you have a view of the entire city of Brigham. She also assisted her husband when he served in the. bishopric. "I really do enjoy cooking, she said. "I like to experiment on special kinds of birthday cakes. She smiled as she told of making my husbands favorite pie to surprise him one evening. By mistake I used salt instead of sugar which the recipe called for. It was tragically funny. I felt badly about the time I had wasted and no one was able to eat the pie. It was such a beautiful pie. She sighed a little remembering, It was comical to see the faces of my husband and our children as they took their first bite." annual autumn Hawaiian sponsored by the LDS Special Interest Singles of Bridgerland on Saturday, Oct. :he Luau 12. smorgasbord feast will oegin at 6:30 p.m., with hundreds of LDS singles to be seated at tables decorated with traditional Hawaiian motif.
