Show Couple trades vows BOX ELDER JOURNAL, Brigham City, Utah Thursday, August 8, 1974 Local miss says vows Miss Deborah Sherratt became the bride of Steven Trevor Christensen in early summer rites performed in the Ogden LDS temple by Patriarch George Grimshaw. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Sherrall, Jr., of Brigham City and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack E. Christensen of Salt Lake City. A wedding dinner honoring the couple was held at the Ogden Golf and Country Club, and the couple was honored at a reception at Interraountain LDS chapel. The bride wore a gown of nylon chiffon with a French embroidery bodice decorated with seed pearls styled with full bishop sleeves ending in wide cuffs trimmed in seed pearls and lace. The full skirt fell into a chapel train with a wide ruffle. Her veil was held by a crown of lace and seed pearls and fell to elbow length. She carried a bouquet of white daisies, baby pink rosebuds, and stephanotis. The former Miss Rebecca Biggs and Sherman R. Conger were united in marriage on July 17 in the Logan LDS temple with President Raymond R. Rex officiating. Following the marriage, a wedding luncheon was given in the couples honor by the parents of the bridegroom, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Conger, at the Idle Isle cafe in Brigham City. They were further honored at a reception hosted by the brides parents, Mr. and Mrs. William N. Biggs, in the garden of the Delmar Davis residence, Brigham City. The bride was gowned in an original creation of organza with a double ruffled neckline odged in lace and complimented with long ruffled sleeves. The skirt of the gown was edged in a full ruffle which continued into a chapel train. Accenting her waistline was a pink chiffon tie, and the ensemble was completed by a filmy picture hat trimmed in natural dainty white Flowers and tulle veiling. The bride's Chi Omega WHOS Bear River Spurs The Bear River Spurs Horseclub met at the Bear River Arena at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 23, 1974. The matter at hand was for the members to decide what events they wanted to participate in at the horse show on the 24th. After much deliberation we all decided to participate in Halter, Western Horsemanship, and Western Riding. Then we decided to do a club demonstration on Scurry to show the public what this new timed event is all about.
