Spending Saturday in Ogden were Mr. and Mrs Orvil Nish and granddaughter, Soofieh Mirhosseini of Logan Soofieh spent the latter part of the week with her grandparents while her parents Mr. and Mrs. Brent Macfarlane were in Las Vegas along with Mr. and Mrs. Paul by Flo Munson Mr. and Mrs. Newel Nish home returned Saturday evening after spending several days in Montana. They accompanied their son Don Nish of Bountiful who had business in Lewistown. They also visited their son and Mr. and Mrs. daughter-in-laRobert Nish and family in Harlowton Timbimboo has Moroni returned home after having surgery and receiving medical care at the McKay hospital in Parker Josie Lyn Macfarlane stayed with her grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Jay Macfarlene in Riverside while her parents were away. Monday Mrs. Brent Macfarlane and two girls of Logan and Mrs. Bryce Udy and daughter, Stephanie of Tremonton visited at the Orvil Nish home. Dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ogden. Mrs. Mattie Callister, historian and researcher for the Utah State Historical society for Northern Box Elder county, conducted a workshop at the in center Community Tremonton Saturday. It was held to develop interest in establishing a museum in northern Box Elder county. At a.m. Dr. Jay librarian and Haymond, historian for the Utah State Research society of Salt Lake City gave a discussion on historic preservation. He was followed by Craig Fuller at 9 30 a.m who talked on topic research. He is the coordinator of the USU Historical society. Light refreshments were served through the courtesy of the Lions club. At 10 45 a m. Dr. Haymond discussed oral history. At 12 noon lunch was furnished by the Tremonton Womens Civic league. An oral history demonstration was given by Dr. Haymond at 1 p.m. of USU Russon Ralph discussed museum development at 2 p.m. Dr. Charles Peterson who heads the history department and is director of the "Man and his Bread Museum in Logan, gave information on writing local and family history. Their director was Donna Ball, Helen Pettingale was in charge of scenery and costumes, Linda Zitto dancing director and music by Karla Parsons. Director was William Hall and music director was Dorothy Harrop. They received a excellent rating and a special award for the best story. On Wednesday night during the presentation of the roadthe Willard ward shows presented the numbers between the acts. They included a reading by Linda Hendersen; vocal duet by Teressa Harding and Jennifer; novelty vocal solo by Alfred Parker, violin solo by Nancy Braegger, trumpet duet by Dan and Kent Harding; comedy pantomine by Jean and Judy Braegger, Vicki Vickerey, Sandy Brown and Wendy Horton, and a vocal solo by Susan Naylor Hendersen. The Willow Creek camp of the Daughters of the Pioneers met on Thursday at the home of Helen Nebeker. The lesson was presented by Judy Braegger and a history of mining in Willard was presented by Mae Woodland. Thurza Kingston from Brigham City visited from the county camp, and Sandy Peck was introduced as a new member. Martha Dalton assisted the hostess with refreshments and serving. Nathan Braegger son of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Braegger and Fred Barker, son of Mr. and Mrs. Don Barker, attended the FFA State convention held in Salt Lake City at the Terrace Ballroom. Nathan received the state farmers degree and a $400 Union Pacific scholarship. The Willard school PTA held elections for new officers Thursday night. Sharon White was elected president, Pat Tremelling, Linda Zitto secretary and Karen Hayes, treasurer. The Willard ward Relief society chorus sang two numbers at the Brigham City South Stake Relief society stake meeting held at the south stake center Friday morning. Miss Kern is from Santa Barbara, Calif. Announcement was made of the wedding of James Holton Glenn, son of Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Glenn of Prince Glen. Ore. (formerly of Willard) and Judy Lynn Nixon, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Nixon of Anniston, Ala. The wedding was held at the Ogden LDS temple Wednesday of March 20. An open house to honor the young couple w as held the same night at the home of the grooms aunt and uncle Mr. and Mrs. Shirly White in Brigham City. House guests at the home of Merrill Glen Jr. for the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Glenn, Wayne and Sue Glenn from Corvalis, Ore. and Karol Jennings and three children from Gooding, Idaho.
