Pam Johnsen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Johnsen was home to spent a few days with her parents from her school teaching position in Tooele. The road show was held Wednesday night. Harper Ward won first place and Bear River won second. Our ward had 59 young people participating this year in the event. Both of the wards are qualified to meet in the region competition. Dinner Guests Eight foreign students who are attending high school in northern Utah were Monday evening dinner guests of the and Mrs. John Bishop Holmgren. After a dinner prepared and served by Mrs. Holmgren the evening was spent discussing their different countries and various customs that take place. and Bishop Holmgren Minor Accident John daughter, Mrs. and ac- companied Meredith Weese to Ogden Monday where they visited at the Joe Murry home. Mrs. Murry has had surgery on her other hand so they were helping out. Family hosts students from by Senneth Hawkes Glen Jones of Glenwood Springs, Colo, is here on an extended visit with his daughter, Glenada Iverson and her family. He has been here a week and will make visits to other children in Idaho during the remainder of his stay. Mr. and Mrs. Russell Capener and Rena of Riverside and Mrs. Carrie J. Christensen were Sunday dinner guests of the Elmo Christensen in honor of Jana Lyns birthday. Sydney, Rose Marie, Lance and Candy Checketts from Sandy, were visiting with the Mario Checketts family Tuesday and Wednesday of last Christensen Carrie Buzzing Bear River Candace were in Salt Lake Saturday for the FFA convention. Candace was in the FFA Sweetheart review because she is a present sweetheart from the Box Elder chapter of the FFA. At the same convention Ronald Hendrickson received his state FFA degree. Kevin Hardy was home from school at the BYU for the weekend. Ruby and Lester Anderson spent almost a month in Sun City, Calif., guests of Dr. and Mrs. A. J. Mohr, and they also visited with Mrs. Andersons sister, Mrs. Etta Rapp and her husband. Mrs. Arlie Welling from Ogden visited with her father Cliff Mateasen Sunday. Deanne Graves of the BYU in Provo and Marge Doughten of Ogden were out of town visitors as were the Spencer Archibald family of Brigham at the home of LaVon Dallin Sunday evening. A joint program Sunday night in church was presented by the Sunday school and primary teachers and students. The theme of the evening was on our latter day prophets. Keith Johnsen and Bishop gave remarks in connection with the program presented. ' Spaghetti Dinner The Venture scouts are giving a spaghetti dinner Thursday Linda Hall had a minor accident with her car in Salt Lake City Tuesday. She was not injured and damages to the vehicle were minor. Henry Hansen underwent surgery Wednesday at the 1 hospital in Ogden. e He had eye surgery previously, but before they let him go home they decided to take care of some other problems he had.
