Aldersgate Methodist Holy Communion will be celebrated at the 9:15 a.m. worship service this Sunday. The service will be held in the Corinne Methodist church. The senior high youth fellowship will meet at 6:30 p.m. at 382 Camaren drive. On the program is a of some modern discussion parables. Junior High youth meet at 7 p.m. at Gillespie hall. St. Henrys Catholic Daily masses 6:30 and 9 a.m. and first Friday 6:30, 9 and 5:30 p.m, Saturday mass 5:30 p.m. and Sunday masses 8, 9:15 and 11 a.m. CCD classes Tuesday 7 p.m., BGJHS, also adult discussion. Friday, March 2, Church Women United will have their World Day of prayer at the Presbyterian church at 7 p.m. Men and women are invited. Guest speaker is Sam Gallegos of Weber State college. The Sand Dollars junior high group will meet at 7 p.m. Sunday at Gillespie hall. This group is studying a unit on the parables. Marilyn Hash will present the lesson this week. On Monday afternoon at 3:45 p.m. the seventh graders will meet for confirmation class. At 5 p.m. the eighth graders will meet at Holy Cross for confirmation class conducted by Pastor Holland. Promontory Pointers Weather Becomes Moderate By Doris Flint The weather has been moderate in the area. The temperature has risen from six degrees above to the midtwenties. This helping to settle the snow. Due to the prolonged cold weather though there has been some frost damage to the range cattle. Now that they have started to calve, it is found their udders have been frozen. The little calves cannot nurse. I ' E; $ Local Visitors Brent and Carol Larsen and son, Jarrod, visited the area last week. They are on leave. Brent is stationed at Fort Knox, Ky. with the Air Force. The home of President and Mrs. Merlin Larsen was a bustle with the laughter of a group of young boys. Wanda had invited the boys for an afternoon of sleigh riding. They were served waffles and hot chocolate later. Mr. and Mrs. Marvin visited with Jay and Helen Brown Sunday after Pop-pleto- n noon. Attend Conference President and Mrs. Merlin Larsen, Mr. and Mrs. Jay Brown, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Flint, Mrs. and Mrs. Dennis Poulsen and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Draper attended stake quarterly conference Sunday morning. During the proceedings of the conference, Presidents George Ficklin, Deloras Stokes and Reese Mason were released. Gerald Simmons, Richard Harris, and Ward Taylor were new as the sustained presidency. High councilman, Russell Webb, elders Zollinger, and the Cannon presented sacrament program.
