Altar boy meeting Saturday, Dec. 16 at the church for all Altar boys and those who wish to become one at 10 a.m. Request is being made for food, toys and some clothing for Christmas baskets. His Future subject will be Events. A tubing party is also planned. The cost for the two day event is $1.50. Aldersgate Methodist Dec. 17 is the third Sunday in Advent. The morning worship service, to be held in Corinne at 9:15, will emphasize the joy related to the coming of the Messiah. A time of fellowship and refreshments will follow the worship hour. This is the third Sunday in Advent and we urge everyone to attend. A nursery is provided for small children. Cooperative church school will present a Christmas program this Tuesday. Children will meet in their classrooms at 3:45 p.m. with the program starting at 4:15 p.m. in the sanctuary. Parents are invited. Christian - Elder W. Neal Johnson will be honored Sunday. HOMECOMING Reformed Pastor Boer will give the Advent message at the worship service at 10:30 a.m. All are welcome. An informal evening service is held at 6:30. The Sunday school is getting ready for its Christmas presentation on Sunday, Dec. 24. All parents and friends are specially invited to be with us. The program will begin at 10:30 a.m. A Christmas eve candlelight service is planned, with Intermountain school students and community people invited. The service will begin at 6:30 p.m. A party will be held for the Children's Bible classes next Wednesday, Dec. 20. The young people are scheduled to go Christmas carolling a week from tonight, Dec. 21. Holy Cross Lutheran The Rev. Dale Johnson will conduct the morning worship services this third Sunday in Advent. The CMC church school will be held on Tuesday at 3:45 p.m. at Gillispie hall for all four year olds through sixth graders. coffee-receptio- St. Michaels Elder Returns BE To Perry A homecoming testimonial is planned Sunday in the Perry LDS ward for Elder W. Neal Johnson who recently returned from the Japan West mission. The event will start at 6:30 p.m. Elder Johnson is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Curtis L. Johnson of Perry. He labored in Miyazaki, Matsue, Naha, Okinawa, and Nago. During his mission Elder Johnson served as acting branch president on Okinawa and was also district leader. The mission headquarters are at Fukuoka. Bishop Paul Barnard invited all friends relatives and neighbors to attend the homecoming. Watts Preparations for holiday parties and special events are in full swing in spite of the weather and shopping lists. On Tuesday night Dec. 12 the Willard ward MIA spent the evening caroling and returned to the ward hall afterwards for smorgasbord dinner. Tuesday night was also dress rehearsal for the Christmas play, "The Rented Christmas being put on by the Willard ward MIA and directed bv Linda Hendersen. It will be presented first on Wednesday, Dec. 13 for the Willard Second ward and on Tuesday, Dec. 19 for the Willard ward, at 7:30 p.m. On Wednesday, Dec. 20 the Willard Second ward are holding a family Christmas and Santa Claus party. Members of all the organizations are in charge of the various activities which include a dinner, carnival type activities which include game booths, food boths and a popcorn machine. The final event of the evening will be a program in the cultural hall where special guest will be Santa Claus. Songs and stories and poems relating to the message of Christmas will be the theme of programs presented by the primary children. On Tuesday Dec. 19 the Willard ward children will present a program and the Willard Second ward primary program will be presented, Wednesday, Dec. 20. Both will be in the afternoon at regular primary times. Parents are invited. Musical Treats Musical treats are in store for ward members of both wards as ward choirs are rehearsing for Christmas music programs to be presented in both wards on Dec. 24. The Willard ward program under the direction of Carol Woodland will be held at 7 p.m. and the Willard Second ward program is set at 4:30 p.m. The Second ward choir will present two special Christmas numbers at their sacrament meeting at 4:30 p.m. Richard Green attended meetings of the UFGE Union at Colorado Springs, Colo. He spent four days there. Activities included a tour of the Air Force base. Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Green and daughters Karlee Beth and Kathleen, and Mrs. Greens mother, Mrs. Edwina Pack spent a week in Phoenix, Ariz. Educational Toy Class Bids Parents more parents will be accepted in a toy lending library class now underway as a program of Box Elder School district. The class is held each Thursday beginning at 7 p.m. in the library at Lake View Elementary A few school, 851 South Second West. The class is specifically for parents of three and children. A $5 registration fee is charged. Parents are taught the use of educational toys. They take them home for a week and use them with their children, according to Les Dunn, director of community schools.
