Show BPW Schedules Holiday Party Party Line Brigham City Business and Professional Womens club will hold its annual Christmas party at the Country club on Monday, Dec. 18, with the social hour to begin at 6:30 p.m. and dinner to be served at 7 p.m. Margaret Evans will be in charge of the social hour, and Grace Noyes will be in charge of table decorations and favors for the dinner. for the Entertainment evening will consist of a Christmas reading by Janette Taylor and several musical selections by the "Beecher Avenue Singers under the direction of Faye Davis. The singers are little girls from a neighborhood area in Brigham City including Holly McCann, Susan Burke, Sandra Anderson, Sidney Baugh, Nancy Anderson, Anna Lee Beecher, Jennifer Wiggins and Linda Larsen. Well, another year has rolled around for your Party Line reporter and this morning Ive been busy putting away the birthday cards and gifts. Now some people don't like Ive never but birthdays thought much about them until lately. It finally dawned on me why I never get everything done I plan for a day anymore. I like birthday cards and just cant bear to throw them away. Ive collected a drawer full that belongs to that sometime category where I file things I am going to put in scrapbooks. Birthday cards have changed just like everything else. When I was a kid I can't ever remember seeing a humorous one. PLAN PARTY , Family Gathers The family of Chester W. Green met at " its traditional on Saturday family Dec. 9. The affair was held at the Community center. Over 40 family members and guests enjoyed a hot dinner with a Christmas motif used in the , decorations. Making the party especially - colorful were the female members of the family who all wore long gowns. Another special feature was the special table featuring a variety of homemade Christmas candies. Mr. Green and his friend C. Young of Ogden and Miss Sarah Marble of this city were special guests for the family party. Have Party Employees of the local post office enjoyed their annual Friday yuletide night Dec. 8 at the Community center. The affair was also a party to honor Ace Robinette who retired that day from his postal service. The party also included retired postal emer and their partners. the retired employees former Postmaster C. , were visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Jensen during the Thanksgiving holidays. The Smiths also spent time at the home of Mr. Smiths parents, Mr. and Mrs. Goodwin Smith of Smithfield, Utah. On Nov. 19 the Jensen home was the scene of a family Dinner was served to 22 seated at one long table decorated with Thanksgiving motifs. Present for the occasion were Mr. and Mrs. Smith and Jeff, Cindy, Susan and Michelle; Dr. and Mrs. Ron Harris and Paul, Chad, Stephanie and Susan of Logan, Utah; Mr. and Mrs. Donrey Secrist and Don Ronald and Kirk and Louise Thueson of Brigham. Misses Laurie Secrist and Marilyn Halverson came from Salt Lake to join the family for the day. Laurie and Marilyn are roomates at LDS Business college. Musicals activities, games and visiting completed the days festivities. During the Smiths visit the cousins spent a day skiing at Snowbird resort. The visitors were also entertained by friends and relatives in Brigham City, Bountiful and Logan. Mr. Smith was especially excited over a successful hunting trip to Burley, Idaho, with Jack Parsons, Sr., of Logan, Jack Parsons, Jr., of Brigham City, and Ned Parsons of Ogden, Utah. Mr. and Mrs. Elmo Lish made a quick business trip to California last week. She visited in Sacramento with her brother and family, Mr. and Mrs. Marion Koford while he transacted business in San Francisco. PARTY LINE sends .... They have made their permanent home in Portage where John was engaged in farming. Active in church affairs John served as a teacher in Sunday School, president of the and bishop of the Portage ward for eight years. He has served on the Malad stake high council, as a group leader and secretary of the high priest group in the Portage ward. Mrs. John has served as a teacher in Primary, Sunday school and Relief Society. She was president of the YWMIA. They are parents of one son and three daughters, three are Dr. Ronald John of living Seattle, Wash., Mrs. Woodrow (Katherine) Clark of Portage and Mrs. Ervin (Iris) Jones of Cherry Creek, Idaho.
