Arriving by jet from New York City Friday evening was Miss Lee Glenn who will spend the Thanksgiving holidays visiting her friend, Forrest Munson, and his parents in Fielding. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Garn of Fielding visited Thursday with their Harvey McCulloch who is receiving medical care at the McKay hospital in Ogden. son-in-la- Club Meeting Tremonton-Garland The Literary club met with Mrs. Lucretia Rhodes as hostess Wednesday evening. Mrs. LaVoyle Stenquist gave a delightful review of Evelyn Anthony's book entitled "The Peillenburg Inheritance." Light refreshments were served. Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Baer of Tremonton accompanied by Mrs. Dale Baird and daughter, Angela, of Ogden attended the Ice Capades in the Salt Palace in Salt Lake City Saturday evening. Miss Joyce Fuhriman of Tremonton was honored at a family bridal shower at the home of Mrs. Ulalla Hansen Friday evening with Marjorie Sixteen Ward as guests enjoyed original bridal games followed by tasty refreshments. Tuesday, Miss Fuhriman was further honored at a kitchen shower with Mrs. Diane Hardy of Providence as hostess. Fourteen close friends at- tended. Games were enjoyed after which dainty refreshments were served. Miss Fuhriman who will become the bride of Peter Kelly of Brigham City Nov. 24 was the recipient of many lovely and useful gifts. Prizes went to Mrs. Pearl Casey and Mrs. Charles Taylor. A dainty dessert was served. A taco party was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ross Rudd in West Fielding Saturday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Stokes of Plymouth showed slides and told of their recent visit in England, France and Italy. Attending were Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Udy of Plymouth, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Capener of Riverside, Mr. and Mrs. Doug Roche and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bourne of West Fielding. The Pinochle club met with Mrs. James Wood of Garland as hostess Thursday evening. Special guests were Mrs. Louise Nielsen of Deweyville and Mrs. Shirley Goodey of East Garland. Prizes went to Mrs. Don Homer, Mrs. Trent Thompson and Mrs. Nephi Westergard. Fire Auxiliaries The ladies auxiliary of the Tremonton Fire department met at Stephens cafe in Garland Wednesday evening. A lovely dinner was enjoyed after which election of officers for the coming season took place. Elected were Carolyn Larson, president; Sheila Litson, Rich, Peggy secretary and Irene Payne, historian. Retiring officers are Jeneane Palmer, Trixie Ewer, Cora Haltiner and Cleo Hales. Karen Hoskins of Roy is living with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Hoskins, in Portage and will attend Bear River High school. She is in 10th grade. The Garland Bridge club met at Stephens Cafe Thursday afternoon with Alice Nye as hostess. A delicious hot luncheon was served followed by bridge. Prizes went to Dessie Campbell and Hattie Hodge. Overnight guests of Mrs. Rendall Draper in Garland during the week were Mr. and Mrs. Udell Hodge and daughter, Cora Lee, of Ogden. They also visited Mr. and Mrs. A.R. Hodge. Other guests at the Hodge home were Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Stucki of Logan and Mr. and Mrs. David Archibald of Clarkston. Attend Musical Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Grlffen and family and Mr. and Mrs. Garland attended a musical at the Logan Junior High school Saturday evening featuring Bob Ralston from the Lawrence Welk show at the piano. They were joined by Mr. and Mrs.. Elmer Johnson and daughter, Deann, of Preston and Mr. and Mrs. Randy Halford of Logan. Later they enjoyed a taco party. Visiting Mr. and Mrs. Chester Neal and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Howell in Portage Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Edmond Howell of Preston. Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Rees of Tremonton accompanied by Mrs. Mildred Richards of Garland and Miss Florence Richards of Kaysville are spending the Thanksgiving weekend visiting Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Richards and family in Missoula, Mont. A Pinata party for two hundred first year Spanish students was held at the Bear River Junior High school Thursday under the supervision of Karl Starr and Mary Beth Rees. Visitors at the home of Mrs. James Shumway and family in Garland Sunday were Mrs. Mary Lindsay, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Lindsay and family, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Lindsay and family, Mr. and Mrs. Jones White, Mr. and Mrs. Brent McKay and son, Christopher, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Cima, Mrs. Ethel Palmer of Salt Lake City; Mr. and Mrs. Dale Wilcox and daughter, Camille, of Bountiful; Mr. and Mrs. Walter Mackay and son, Scott, of Rupert, Idaho; Mr. and Mrs. Milton Peters of Brigham City.
