They got Bobcat awards and neckerchiefs. Todd Jensen and James Ackerman received their Bear award. Dennis Christensen, Scott Anderson, and Tim Frost certreceived .graduation ificates, Arrow of Light awards and skins. Dennis also received his travelers and craftsman badges. Scott got his artist, craftsman, outdoorsman and scientist. Wilford Ackerman was in charge of the meeting. Mrs. Nyman Mr. and Holmgren and children spent a week and recently camping in the mountains. Mr. Lester Barker, at the Tommy Rasmussen home in Brigham on Oct. 7. It was his 82nd birthday. Vernon and Wanda Johnsen were in Salt Lake City on Friday on business. Mario and Melba Checketts and Vay and Vida Jensen attended the Republican dinner at the community center Thursday evening. Mrs. Winnie Jensen was hostess to her club on Saturday afternoon. Dollie Iverson and Andrea Huggins attended the North Box Elder County DUP meeting recently at the home of Mary Gardner in Honeyville. Julie Lucas, Cindy Frost, Kathleen Huggins and Janet Weidman. Musical numbers were given by Pete Nickolaisen and Kami Jenson. Saturday night and Sunday visitors at the home of Mrs. Carrie A. Mr. and Mrs. Chris Anderson, Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Arbon and Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Jensen attended a funeral in Idaho Falls on Monday. Mrs. Alva Hardy was hostess to the Bear River camp. Mrs. Ruth Munns flew from Salt Lake to Moscow, Idaho, last Saturday morning to get acquainted with her new granddaughter who arrived Oct. 9 to bless the home of Carolyn and Fred Jensen. The new baby weighed six pounds, one ounce. She has two brothers. Mr. and Mrs. Reed Munns and Mr. and Mrs. A.W. Jensen of Pocatello are the proud grandparents. Kim Checketts, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mario Checketts, has received his call to the Eastern with mission States headquarters in New York, N.Y. He will leave Nov. 4. He will be speaking in sacrament meeting on Oct. 29. M Read History Mary Anderson read the history of her pioneer grandmother, Jane Sant Smith. Lula Clayson gave the lesson on Sunday schools. Birthday Party Mr. Mrs. Dick and Nessler and Mr. and Mrs. Irving Christensen were guests at a birthday dinner in Ogden Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Murray. They went on to Salt Lake City later to see Thirl Christensen at the LDS hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Whitney Checketts, their sons, Roswell and Francis, from Paonia, Col., spent Wednesday with the Mario Checketts family. Bishop Holmgren and Doug Fonnesbeck attended the solemn assembly Friday morning when the General Authorities of the LDS church were sustained. Michael and Mary Ann Stephens of Ogden are the proud parents of a baby girl born Oct. 7 at McKay hospital. The babys name will be Stacey Ann. This is their first child. The grandparents are Bobby and Freda Barker of Bear River City and Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Stephens of Ogden. are Mr. and Mrs. C.R. Barker and Mr. and Mrs. Marcellace Jones of Brigham Games were played and Mr. and Mrs. Alvern Davis served the girls supper and breakfast. Many relatives and friends from here attended the viewing and funeral services in Brigham City recently for Mrs. Lucille Iverson Petersen. Burial was in our local cemetery.
