R. (Bill) Waldron of Salt Lake City, and Mrs. Henry Mendoza of Montebello, Cafi fornla, left Thursday on an American Express tour. They plan to visit London, Paris and in the Holy Land. They will be three gone approximately weeks. Spending a few days visiting Mr. and Mrs. Thales Cannon in Deweyville last week were Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Scott of Yucapia, Calif. Other visitors were Mr. and Mrs. George P. Jensen of West Yellowstone and Mrs. Herbert Taylor of Anchorage, Ala. The Jensen's and Mrs. Taylor also visited Mr. and Mrs. C. P. Jensen in Deweyville. Visitors of Mrs. Mina Ward in Riverside last week were Mr. and Mrs. Willis Petersen of Riverton and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Ward of Kaysvllle. Mrs. Elva B. Korth of Tremonton spent last week visiting her daughter, Mrs. Moanna Young and son, Eric, in Rexburg and Mr. and Mrs. Vaughan Korth and family in Pocatello. Mr. and Mrs. G. L. Bourne and Mr. and Mrs. Leland Bourne of Riverside attended a family dinner party at the home of Mrs. Clara Staynor in Brigham City Wednesday. Other guests were Mr. and Mrs. Claude Earl, Mrs. Ann Rugg of Salt Lake City, Mrs. Edith Mayfield of Etna, Calif., Mrs. Vie Crantz of Midvale and Mr. and Mrs. Ed East of Farmington. Mrs. Mayfield is spending a few days visiting her brother-in-laand sister, Mr. and Mrs. G. L. Bourne. w Travel to Portland Mrs. E. W. Sutherland of Fielding accompanied her and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Goodsell, and Mr. and Mrs. Grover Goodsell of Newton to Portland, Ore., where they enjoyed visiting Mr. and Mrs. Vernal Goodsell and Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Goodsell. They visited many points of interest. Mr. and Mrs. Grover Goodsell remained to spend several days at the Vernal Goodsell home. The Tremonton Book-Lor- e club met with Mrs. Mildren Bunnell as hostess Wednesday afternoon. Mrs, Bunnell gave an interesting tfcavflogue '. and r showed slides of her recent tour in Mexico. Dainty refreshments were served. Dr. and Mrs. R. G. Woodhead of Tremonton attended a swearing-i- n ceremony at the Utah Supreme court and the federal court in Salt Lake City Wednesday where their son, Bill Woodhead, passed the bar and was named an attorney-at-laHe will be employed by the Navajo nation in Window Rock, Ariz. Visiting at the Woodhead home for several days was their daughter, Mrs. Sally Beilis, and sons, Bobble and Rowdy, of Salt Lake City. Attend Funeral Mr. and Mrs. Dean Hone of Bothwell attended funeral services for Mr. Hones uncle, Gerald Duke, in Provo Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Graham Shaw and family of Garland spent the weekend visiting Mr. Shaw's parents, Mr. and Mrs. G. C. Shaw, in Orem. A birthday dinner was enjoyed Sunday in compliment to Mrs. G. C. Shaw who was celebrating her bir- spent a couple of days visiting Mr. and Mrs. Daroid Simmons and family in Salt Lake City. They also visited Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Simmons and family in Tremonton. DeWayne Simmons is bishop of his ward in Boise. Entertain at Party Mr. and Mrs. DeLon Stokes of Bothwell entertained at a dinner party at their home Sunday in compliment to Mrs. Stokes mother, Mrs. Polly Smith, of Tremonton who was celebrating her birthday anniversary. Enjoying a hike to Spring Hallow and Fossil Slide in Logan canyon last week were the fifth and sixth grade students of Fielding Elementary school. They were accompanied by Principal Don Edvalson, Jack Forsberg and Lyle Hurd. Mrs. JoAnn Garrett of Salt Lake City visited briefly with her parents, Dr. and Mrs. D. B. Green, Friday. She came especially to attend the homecoming at Bear River High school. Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Kilfoyle in Ogden were Mr. and Mrs. Emil Kupfer of Bothwell. Attending funeral services for Will Warren in North Ogden Wednesday were Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Hall of Portage. Mr. Warren was Mr. Hall's cousin. Saturday the Halls visited Mr. and Mrs. Don Bone in Ogden. Randy Able and his new bride, the former Jana Lynn Smith of Fielding, left Saturday morning for Virginia Beach, Va., where Randy will continue his duties with the US Navy. They have been visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Able, in Garland and with Jana Lynn's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Packer of Tremonton and Mr. and Mrs. Ted Stark of Bothwell. The occasion was the wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Stark. Visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James White in Garland during the weekend were Linda White, Jeannine White and Mary Nelson of Gordon Smith, in Fielding. Attend Reception a wedding reception in compliment to Mr. and Mrs. Brent Thomas at the Malad Stake center Friday evening were Mrs. DeVere Harris and Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Harris of Portage. The Future Progress guild of Fielding held its installation dinner party at the Idle Isle cafe in Brigham City Thursday evening. Hostesses were Christy Richards, Shari Scott, Barbara Smith, Judy Smith, Barbara Udy and Rhoda Welling. New officers are Karen Attending Smith, vice president; Scott, second Nev., have been spending a few days visiting Mr. Gibbs parents, Mr. and Mrs. David Gibbs, in Portage. Saturday a family dinner party was held at the Gibbs home. Others attending were Mr. and Gibbs and Mrs. Donald daughter, Valeen, of Kaysville, Mr. and Mrs. Noel Gibbs and family, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Nelson and family of Perry and Mr. and Mrs .
