Show ENTERPRISE RAMBLINGS WASHINGTON Pilot Peak DUP Camp Meets on Thursday Leola Mrs. LaFever returned home last week after spending several weeks in St. George. Part time at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Elaine Canfield and family after under going surgery at the Dixie Medical Center. Mr. and Mrs. DeVon Hunt and daughter of Granger spent last week here with his parents, Ivin and Edna Hunt and girls. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Bracken have moved into the 1st Ward while they are having a new home built. They are living in the home formerly owned by Cliff Wadsworth. Welcome to our Ward Howard and Rose Alene Thomas Bracken, and Tandra. Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Gubler of Santa Clara were here Sunday with his daughter and son-in-la- Edna and Ivin Hunt and family. Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Emett attended the Hurricane Utah Stake Conference Sunday. Mrs. Emetts brother, Dennis Beatty was put in as Stake President. The Enterprise Utah Stake Basketball tournament came to an end this week with the following teams gaining a place in the Regional tournament to be held in St. George March 15th through 18th. The first place team in the Explorer division is from the New Castle Ward. The second place team is from the Enterprise 2nd Ward. The first place team in the Young Adult division is from the Enterprise 2nd Ward. The second place team from New Castle Ward. The first place team in the Senior division is Enterprise 2nd Ward. The second place team is Enterprise first Ward. Those who earned the Awards Sportsmanship were Enterprise First Ward Explorers, the New Castle Young Adults and the Enterprise 2nd Ward Seniors. High Councilmen Kenneth D. Lee and George Gardner were the speakers in the 1st Ward Church Services Sunday. Our community was saddened Sunday morning to learn of the passing of one of our most beloved friends and neighbors, Deseret Morris Simkins Bauer. To this reporter she was as near perfect as any person I know of. I will miss her very much as she and I went fishing together, or just a relaxing ride to the reservoir, or around town to see the new homes being built. No matter what the weather was like, it was always so refreshing and she could see beauty in all things. Our sympathy goes to her husband W'illiam Bauer and her family. In all the world there just wasn't a person like Aunt Des. We will miss her. Ricks College Valhalla Dancers performed here March 10th at the Cultural Hall. It was an enjoyable evening to those who attended. The Harlem Thrillers put on a show of basketball tricks and fun at the High School gym Thursday evening, to a fair crowd of spectators, young and old. This group of men are really good shooter and didnt miss many baskets when they threw at the ball hoop. This Monday it is trying to snow. Hope it does, two or three feet and good and wet so that some water will run out of it and do some good. The Pilot Peak Camp and the D.U.P. are holding the March meeting today a 2 p.m. at the building. The Lesson-Ka- te B. Carter, this will be given by Ollie Hunt Jones. H. Peacock was one of the speakers in the 2nd Ward church Services Sunday. Due to the absence of his high councilman partner, he called on Nellie T. Clove and Kendell Banks to each take some time. Mr. and Mrs. David Peterson were down from Springville to spend the weekend with his parents, Lerald and Mildred Peterson and family. Mr. LaGrande Hall came from Las Vegas Monday to spend two days with his mother, Mae Hall. Mrs. Kerri Twitchell, Blythe Terry, Berle Holt and Nell Twitchell were hostesses to a baby shower Saturday afternoon at the multipurpose room at the church in honor of Mrs. Mauna Kae Terry, wife of Ron Terry. All of the speculation is over and now we can get on with it. I for one an pleased with the choice, not that that matters, but I am pleased. Dennis Beatty was made Stake President, with Dr. Garth Last as first Counselor and Robert Lemon as second Counselor. They are all great men, and I personally know how great Dennis Beatty is. I am sure we will all be rewarded by their enthusiasm.
