Show ROCKVILLE NEWS MM No News, Is Good News" Evelyn Hans and our former postmaster are home again after a trip to distant or far away places. Mr. and Mrs. Fergunsen have returned to their home in California. Mr. Lenoir Cox has been busy lately sort of cleaning up and repairing his home, the his father had, one to moving into it soon. We hope. Lenoir now lives in Orem, Utah. Larry and Nellie Ballard had their daughter Teressa and family as visitors over the weekend. Daisy Ballard and her son Lynn are spending a week or so in Salt Lake City, Utah. I think the largest gathering of members of the Hurricane Utah Stake ever gathered at one time met at the Hurricane Stake Center March 13. More than likely a portion of them were there to see if their choice of the new Stake President would be the one they thought would be chosen. Prior to the meeting I had inquired of different people who they thought would be chosen and most of them included Brother Grant D. Beatty as the one that would be chosen. I think he is well thought of in the Stake and will be a good leader. I question whether any place in Utah has as many interesting places to visit near the town, that are not man made, as does Rockville as the following names indicate: Buttermilk Springs, Buttermilk Wash, Wildcat Wash, South Creek, Shones The Wood Road, Creek, Scrogs, the Ghost, Daltons Wash, Coal Pitts, Wire Valley, Horse Valley, the Pines, Grape Vine, Eagle Cragga, Steamboat Mountain, (now labeled West Temple) Dennet Lane, Terry Trail, Langston Trail, Huber Trail, Huber Wash, Pine Gum Tree, Squawberry Mountain, Big Plains and The Devils Creep. The slogan, No news is does not good news necessarily mean other news is bad news. For instance, any news from Rockville would be called good news lately, wouldnt you say? Good news is that Miss Mureul LaBarn was confirmed a member of the L.D S. Church today. Ina town this size with the competition between the L.D.S., Jehova Witnesses, Seven Day Adventists, Agnostics and Jack Mormons, that is wonderful. Congratulations Mureul! I am glad Dean Francis thinks there is no need to waste time trying to get me to help him do some public nonpaying job. He sure used his persuasion powers to good advantage recently when he got men here and then to prepare and move down from Zion Park a wooden building large enough to house the fire engine. He intends to have us procure. I expect he is busy conjuring what method to get an engine, but he will think of it. It looks as if the almonds and apricots will be frozen again. This year it will be four years in a row for us here in our village. Oh well, why worry. I have lots of them dried, frozen, preserved or in bottles to tye me over the next seven years with some to spars; that is if I dont use them too often. I was rather proud of President Carter the other evening when he took and answered those phone calls from all over our country. ' Even though we had 10 flakes of snow last week I think Spring has sprung. flowers are blooming. . It sort of makes me feel like a spring Iamb or a young colt the way they act, or do you know how they act? Every High Priest that was in town that was physically A able, went to Springdale to Church today. Knowing the CIRCUMSTANCES I call that 100 percent attendance. I wonder what has happened, I have not heard any complaints about the new town cleaner-uppeFloyd De Mill like they did the other two good men. There was a time when we could report the trips of someone going to Hurricane r 0 fi or further as news, but now, when we have to go that far news each trip that was made. news each trip that wasmade.
