PRO SHOP Jim Simonich, Tooeles state champion, got the 1982-8- 3 wrestling season off to a great start when he defeated Skylines J. J. Not only did Tooele dominate the team scoring, but in nearly every match the Skyline wrestlers were so that they were out-classe- d content to wrestle defensively, trying to escape the pin, making the individual duals about as lopsided as the final score. Tooele lost only two matches, winning four by forfeit, two pins, two superior decisions (winning by 12 or more points), and two major decisions (winning by six or more points). . Probably the most impressive performance of Tuesdays debut was sophomore Dev Brown who pinned his opponent late in the second period. Brown, who is a brother of former Buff masters, Drake and Nordell, was complete master of Skylines Mark Holt, pinning Holt in 114 of the second period. Tooeles other pin came when s Troy Sullivan put Mitch shoulders to the mat two seconds before the end of the second period in another display of 145-poun- asm d top-notc- Y1b3 wrestling. h Defending state champion Jim Simonich, who has moved up a weight division easily outclassed J. Jack VanGrimber-gen- , who wrestles at either 185 pounds or in the heavyweight in class, defeated John Clark the 185 pound division for another Tooele superior division. Closest match of the night was the scrap between Tooeles John Nicol and Chris Barton of Skyline division. This in the pair of battlers locked horns for the full three periods, with Barton coming up with a takedown to win the match. Bartons takedown came with 21 seconds remaining in the match and erased Nicols 10-- lead to win. give Barton the close 1 1 vm TWM Scor-cone- J 0005 0133 H5bl uwoayof. 0000 0005 0123 H5bl bB VISA 0000 L TAYLOR J J L VISA TAYLOR 18-- 4 138-poun- d 9 Complete results: 98 Mark Lloyd (S) def.
