He is a member of Scout Troop 380. For his Eagle project, Gordon transplanted trees from Blue Mountain to the recreational park to help beautify the area. He has been an active scouter serving as senior patrol leader and staff member at Brownsea and scout camps. This past summer he worked with Doug Bowen, former San Juan District Scouter, as a volunteer staff member at Cub Scout Day camps for three weeks. Besides working on staff while in Germany, Gordon attended a week long international scout camp and went sightseeing, in Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany.
