The publisher at all times reserves the right to edit, condense or reject any contributions, in the interest of suitability and or-- good taste. - After reading about the termination and agreement between Intermountain Health Care and the County in the October 12th edition of the San Juan Record, I was surprised that the last paragraph was omitted which stated that, and I quote, Die parties hereto also agree for valuable consideration, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, to release and discharge each other and all directors, officers, employees and agents thereof, from any and all claims, liabilities, or causes of action arising from or under the Agreement and each party hereto covenants that it will not initiate or be a party to any action, suit or other claim against any other party hereto with respect to the matters covered hereby. Die above agreement releases the county from any action but does not necessarily preclude an individual tax payer from pursu- Let us. ask for more information to be given out publicly so misconceptions cannot be so easily formed. Let us forget old grievance and recognize the goodness in all people. Dear Editor: We are concerned over health care in San Juan County and just as deeply concerned over the feelings and unit within our county communities. We feel deeply frustrated as to how we, as families, can help heal the rift that We would like to know how much it costs the county to keep the facilities and emergency x-r- ay room open at the County Hospital for the use of the Monticello phy- sicians. When Monticello physi- use the emergency room after hours, who pays the salary of the persons who assist? , cians is who use our hospital? How much do the Monticello physicians pay for the use of hospital ay x-r- equipment for after hours or exams which other simple Blanding doctors do in their local x-r- ay clinic? or everything. Let us unite for the good of all. We all need the hospital to be at a high level of efficiency of operation, using ALL doctors and nurses from both Blanding and What about a cost comparison on the quality of ay equipment used by doctors in the two facilities, both provided by the county? We are aware that one Monticello physician has no ay equipment of his own and uses hospital equipment and pays no rental fee. We would also like to know how much rent he pays the county for the land his medical office is located on. Let us join in asking our county commissioners to level with us. This can, we believe, help heal the hurts and misconception. Let us have answers to our questions.
