Show THE SAN JUAN RECORD Hiursday March 2$, 1981 - Page 7 Film series is popular Response of San Juaners to the programs of Dr. Stephen Baar, has been good with from 75 to 300 attending the free film series and active involvement by Monticello senior citizens in afternoon programs which address the process humanist-in-residen- ce, of aging. Dr. Baar, a member of the English faculty at Westminster College in Salt Lake City, says he chooses films that will encourage discussion of basic human concerns. The first film in the series, To Kill A Mockingbird", based on Harper Lees Novel of the same name, the questions of addressed justice, prejudice, tradition and tolerance. The movies can be seen at 7 p.m. in Montezuma Creek on Mondays, in Monticello on Tuesdays and in Blanding on Wednesdays. Although everyone is welcome, Dr. Baar notes the movies are complicated and sometimes He boring to young children. suggests parental discretion. Dr. Baar will also conduct a creative writing workshop for the Blanding elementary schools and will participate in a Monticello Great Books discussion. Debra, a Yuma High School graduate, attended Utah State University in Logan for two years where she was affiliated with Tau chapter of Lamdba Kappa Delta Sigma sorority. Gary, a San Juan High School graduate, attended Utah State University for three years. He has a Colombia Bogota mission for the Church of Jesus Saints. Gam Anderson of Richfield, Utah. Jeff, a 1975 graduate of Richfield High School, is employed at Youngs Construction Company and is working at Parachute, Colorado. Donna, a 1980 graduate of San Juan High School, is attending Weber State College in Ogden, Utah. Donna and Jeff will be married April 4 at 4:30 p.m. in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-da- y Saints in Bluff. A reception will be held at the church from 6 to 8 p.m. There will also be an open house at the home of the grooms parents on April 11 from 6 to 8 p.m. at 118 North 6th West in Richfield. Inez Young Open House scheduled 53. April 3 in ceremonies in the LDS Logan Temple. A reception will be held Friday, April 17, from p.m. in the Blanding LDS North Chapel.
